I am a balanced dog trainer. I believe that dogs are best served from training that uses both reward and corrections I am a professional, certified dog trainer that also provides an alternative to kennel boarding. After speaking to my clients over the years, kennel boarding is the very last option anybody should ever consider for their dog. The dogs I take care of enjoy numerous walks and supervis
ed play time with other dogs. Many of them will sleep next to me or my wife as we are avid dog lovers. My 11 year old Golden Retriever is excellent with the dogs and enjoys the company. I now have a release form that I ask everyone to review and sign, as well as an information sheet I ask you to review that gives me specific directions on feeding and/or any other pertinent information. Being a small daycare/boarding center gives us the opportunity of knowing "our" dogs well, paying attention to their health and giving them our personal attention. LHDR Mission Statement:
To provide an alternative to kennel boarding. After speaking to my clients over the last five years, kennel boarding is the very last option anybody should ever consider for their dog. Dogs are social animals that need to play and be with other dogs in a safe environment. Kennels can not offer that due to liability and the number of dogs they manage. Dogs need exercise and fresh air. Studies have found that if dogs get the exercise they need they will live longer, be more balanced and cause fewer problems at home. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog. Dogs here enjoy a minimum of 2-3 hours outside playing or pack walks. Bill Cook has trained 1000’s of dogs over the last 10 years. His love for animals grew from his childhood 100 acre cattle ranch in Ashland, Oregon. After retiring from Biotech sales in 2006, he went back to his true love, training dogs. He is a certified dog training professional that will train any dog regardless of breed, shape, size or history. “I work to fix all dog behavior issues via Skype, or at my training center, including excessive barking, growling, snapping, nipping, dog aggression (fighting), human aggression (biting), child aggression, pulling on leash, leash aggression, leash reactivity, skateboard reactivity, resource guarding, jumping on people, fear issues, anxiety issues, separation anxiety, chewing and destroying household items, running away, not listening, door bolting, stealing food, getting into the trash, cat aggression, chasing game, and killing animals/game.
