🎃🐾 HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM MASTHOPE’S MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY CATS! 🐾🎃

Wishing all our wonderful Masthope neighbors, friends, supporters, and fellow animal lovers a spooktacular and safe Halloween filled with treats, tricks, and lots of PURRfect moments! 🧡🖤

While the ghosts and goblins are out tonight, our little black cats and furry friends are hoping for something extra special — full bellies, warm shelters, safe outdoor spaces, and loving forever homes. 🐈‍⬛🏡

Remember, the best treat you can give community cats is kindness! 💗 Whether it’s providing food and shelter, helping us identify cats in need, or supporting our Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return-and-Manage (TNVRM) efforts, every little bit makes a BIG difference.

No tricks, just FIXES! 😉🐾

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!

With gratitude and lots of kitty kisses,
Masthope Mountain Community Cats
🐾 Caring for our community, one cat at a time. 💗

🐾💗 WE’RE ALREADY THINKING ABOUT NEXT YEAR’S DESIGNER POCKETBOOK BINGO! 💗🐾

Our 5th Annual Designer Pocketbook Bingo was aMEOWzing, and we’re already getting a head start on making next year’s event another PURRfect success! 👜🐱

As we plan ahead to support our Masthope community cats, we would be grateful for donations of items we can reuse ♻️ and repurpose for our Tricky Tray baskets, prizes, and event preparations!

🎁 HERE’S WHAT WE’RE COLLECTING:

🥣 Quart-size and 8 ounce soup containers – PURRfect for collecting those Tricky Tray tickets! 🎟️

🧺 Baskets – Have baskets left over from gifts or prizes that you no longer need? We’d love to give them a second life!

🥨 Large plastic snack size containers

🐈‍⬛ Denim Jackets

🎀 Gift-wrapping supplies, including:

* Ribbons
* Clear cellophane wrap or basket bags
* Basket stuffing and filler
* Other gift-wrapping and basket-decorating supplies

♻️ PLEASE DON’T BUY ANYTHING NEW JUST FOR US! ♻️

We’re simply hoping to recycle and repurpose items you may already have collecting dust in your home, tucked away in a closet, or taking up space in storage. If you have extras you no longer need, we’d love to put them to good use! 💕

Every little bit helps us create beautiful baskets, keep event costs down, and direct more resources toward the cats who depend on us. 🐾💗

🐾🚨 PLEASE HELP US FIND OUT IF THESE TWO SWEET BOYS HAVE A FAMILY! 🚨🐾

💔 These two fluffy boys were scanned at the vet’s office, but unfortunately, neither had a microchip. They are neutered. We’re hoping someone recognizes them and can help us reunite them with a family who may be missing them!

We went to set traps after a homeowner alerted us that two fluffy newcomers had taken over the outdoor cats’ shelter and feeding station. The homeowner’s previously TNRed community cats had stopped coming around, apparently displaced by their new squatters!

We expected to find feral cats, but instead, we discovered two surprisingly friendly boys! 🐱💙

Sadly, both boys looked pretty beat up. Their long hair is matted, they had ticks, fleas, cuts, and patches of missing fur. 💔 We can only imagine what these sweet boys may have been through and how long they might have been roaming outdoors.

🐾 THE GRAY TABBY: A handsome, fluffy gray tabby with white paws who approached us readily. He had previously been spotted roaming near Masthope’s Four Corners entrance and the Aqua site on Falling Waters.

🐾 THE BLACK FLUFFY BOY: This handsome fellow needed a little encouragement (and some tasty treats!) to come closer. He had two deep puncture wounds, and the vet suspects he may have been attacked by a coyote. He was treated with antibiotics for his injuries. 💔 We’re so relieved he is now safe and receiving care!

📍 WHERE THEY WERE FOUND: Westcolang Road, outside Masthope’s main entrance toward the lake.

❤️ THE GOOD NEWS: Both boys are now safe inside a foster home, where they are receiving the care and attention they need. And the original TNRed cats have returned to their “home” 😻

🙏 DO THESE BOYS LOOK FAMILIAR? Could they be your cats, or do you recognize them from your neighborhood? Despite their rough appearance and injuries, both boys showed signs of being extremely comfortable around people. These were definitely someone’s pets. We want to give them every opportunity to be reunited with a loving family if someone is missing them!

If you recognize either boy or have any information, please send me a private message.

💕 Let’s help these sweet boys find their way home if they have a family looking for them!🐱❤️

🐾💗 😻 SWEET SASSY SAVVY’S SPAY DAY! 😻 💗🐾

Today, our sweet Savvy had her spay surgery! Savvy is the last of Mama April’s kittens to undergo this important procedure. At just 6 months old, this special girl has already overcome so much. 🐱💕

Because Savvy has severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) and experiences tremors, we took extra care in planning her surgery. After consulting with our veterinarian, we decided to wait until she was six months old, following the vet’s recommendation for her spay.

We also chose to have her surgery performed at Wallenpaupack Veterinary Clinic rather than a spay/neuter clinic so she could receive the individualized care and monitoring we felt she deserved. ❤️

And here’s the PURR-fect part! 🐾✨ The funds raised at our Designer Pocketbook Bingo covered Savvy’s veterinary bill! 👜🎟️💗 We turned fabulous bags into aMEOWzing veterinary and essential medical care 👜🐱💗 for one very special kitty🐈💕

Savvy’s journey is a reminder of why we do what we do. Every community cat deserves a chance at a healthy, happy life, regardless of their special needs. 🐾

Please send Savvy some extra love and wishes for a smooth speedy recovery! 💕🐾
