Happy Monday, everyone!

I wanted to pop on and give everyone an update. Those that order beef from us, we should know the hanging weights soon. As soon as I know, I’ll start reaching out so we can collect payment. Beef will not be done until the end of October, or the very beginning of November. Pickup is at Ebels! If you are unable to pickup, please reach out and we will see what we can do.

Also, I will be a vendor at the Wishing for Christmas event that is taking place at the Aplex, November 7th and 8th. I am shifting gears, since there are more and more sourdough bakers that are participating there.

This year I’ll have handmade candies. Soft caramels, peanut brittle, candied pecans, pecan pralines, peanut butter balls, sponge candy, truffles, sourdough pancake mix, chicken noodle dry soup mix, sourdough croutons, sourdough stuffing mix. I will have breakfast samplers again, these contain jams/jellies, fruit butter, honey and maple syrup (from Sumerix maple syrup). They make great unique gifts for Christmas that would be enjoyed by everyone.

I’ll also have some pies, which do freeze well, and a limited amount of sourdough loaves. Plus my soaps and tallow, and handmade, all natural Vicks v***r rub.

I hope to see some of ya all there, please feel free to stop by and at least say hello and support the rest of the vendors that will be participating there.

We kicked off 30 days of soup here at the farm, and to get it started is Cabbage roll soup!

I had left over cabbage from what I picked from the garden last night and this was a great was to use it up!

Cabbage Roll Soup recipe is a delicious dinner recipe that will warm your belly on a cold and crisp fall day. This unstuffed cabbage soup is one of the BEST soup recipes that we have ever made and very easy to make!

That’s a wrap folks, we will no longer be offering pasture raised pork.

We roasted our very last pig today. Little feller was delicious!

Sorry to those of you that wanted any bacon, pork sausage, etc. They were becoming a pain in the ass and liability so they had to go.

There’s 4 loaves of classic sourdough bread in the stand. This week was one of the longest weeks ever. I did managed to bake 70 loaves for a church though!

Fresh bread bowls, chocolate chip cookies (still warm), and Dutch apple pies and a few fresh classic sourdough loaves are out in the stand…oh yeah and caramel apple sourdough.

Pies were wiped out when I got home from work today, so I whipped up 4 more!

Tomorrow I’ll have more Dutch apple pies, chocolate chip cookies, bread bowls, and (HOPEFULLY) caramel apple sourdough bread.

We will be around all weekend, it’s our yearly barn cleaning tomorrow.
