This is one of the reasons Jill Lanzi and I do this with our reptiles. I met Brooklyn a young girl at last years Pacific Northwest Reptile and Exotic Animal Show. I talked to Brooklyn and her parents about snakes and answered many questions. Her dad was skeptical of snakes and the idea of having one. Brooklyn came back in January 25’
She saved her allowance for all the items needed and wanted a snake from me. I sold here a Desert Phase Cal King. She was so happy and so was I. I Just received this text from her dad:

Hey there 👋 I just wanted to reach out and thank you for Brooklyns wonderful snake! She named her Oreo and they are two peas in a pod. Oreo is a wonderful! All the fears I had about having a snake in the house are gone. We have had ZERO issues and now Brooklyn is talking about getting another one 😂 I think 1 is good for now. We changed to Tuesday feedings, that’s just what works for us and she’s been waiting for no one to be around to eat. She finally ate from the tongs last night! Very exciting! We also got a really good shed a few weeks ago! Brooklyn worked up to holding her for 25 mins at a time now! They just hangout. It’s awesome! She’s still doing all the work, I helped clean the enclosure of course. But it’s just been a really pleasant experience and I really thank you for taking the extended amount of time to speak with us at both reptile shows. This is one spoiled snake and such a great fit for our household and for Brooklyn! So thank you!
