I am very grateful to be working with the Dermatology Clinic for Animals to help manage my Old English Bulldog’s allergies. All of the staff are kind and very easy to work with. They gave us multiple options and are explained everything in a way that made sense. Bessie Sugar is 90% improved and has a much better quality of life after going on medications. I highly suggest this clinic for the care of your fur babies. I am less stressed out and Bessie Sugar gets the zoomies everyday now and is clearly loving her new itch free life. Health is wealth and working with this clinic has been priceless! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ —Daisy C

The Top 5 Things for Your Pets Dermatological Care

Early Diagnosis and Regular check-ups: Routine vet visits are essential for early detection of skin issues like infections, allergies, or parasitic infestations, allowing for prompt treatment.

Appropriate Treatment Plans: Skin conditions can vary, so having a tailored treatment plan based on the specific diagnosis—whether it’s medication, topical treatments, or allergy management—is crucial.

Good Hygiene and Grooming: Regular baths with suitable pet shampoos, brushing, and ear cleaning help maintain healthy skin and coat, preventing matting and the buildup of dirt and oils that can lead to infections.

Nutrition and Supplements: A diet rich in essential fatty acids (like omega-3 and omega-6) supports healthy skin. Supplements may be recommended to address specific skin concerns or deficiencies.

Allergen and Environmental Control: Identifying allergens (such as food, pollen, or dust mites) and minimizing exposure is important for pets prone to environmental or food allergies that affect their skin. This may involve changes in diet, medications, or modifications to their living environment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“Dr Wyatt, Rose, Nicole went above and beyond for my sweet baby! My kitty was hospitalized at BluePearl Tacoma through ER and was transferred to neurology with Dr Chavera for MRI where we discovered the cause to all of her issues being in her inner/middle ear. Rose and Dr Wyatt were able to accept Lily as an urgent consultation and ended up having her procedure the same day. Nicole was her assigned technician who was absolutely the best. The entire staff was welcoming, kind, compassionate and just down right amazing. I live in Renton and this facility was 100% worth the drive! I am so grateful for their entire team! 🥰🫶🏻” — Alex C

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review from Hannah: “I cannot recommend this clinic enough! Our 6 year old Kona had crusted paws and flaky skin that continued to get worse over several months (before and after picture included). She lost her ability to play and eat and would lay in bed all day every day.
We took her to MULTIPLE different general vets,” and spent HUNDREDS of dollars for them to give us their best guess and throw a new treatment at her.
On a whim I found Dermatology Clinic For Animals and made an appointment. We live in Seattle and took the drive hoping for an answer. Dr Wyatt took one look at Kona’s paws and knew exactly what is was, she diagnosed in 5 minutes what 3 other vets couldn’t. She started us on a treatment path that day and we started to get our dog back. It has been 2 months and she is almost completely healed, we are amazed.”

-Rising Heartworm Cases in the PNW-
Heartworm disease is increasing Washington to 55% in recent years! Warmer temps, more mosquitoes, and pet relocations are spreading this deadly parasite. Many local pets aren’t on preventatives, making them vulnerable. Protect your dog with year-round heartworm prevention & annual testing—it’s safer & cheaper than heartworm treatment! 🐶💙
