Toxic blue-green algae grow in freshwater or brackish water, thriving in the warm, humid weather of mid-to-late summer. ❗Just a tiny amount (a few licks) can cause severe liver failure, neurological symptoms and death within a matter of hours. 🆘 If you see a body of water that’s greenish in color, play it safe and steer clear. 🙅‍♀️

Foster friends?! Anyone?

We're still looking for a foster home for these sweet senior boys to live out the remainder of their lives. ❤ Even though they're 14 years old, Pierre and Gator are pretty dang spunky and have great energy levels!

Pierre and Gator's owner passed away back in March when we originally took them in. They were adopted for a few months but are unfortunately back. Given their age, we think it's best we try to find them a fospice home at this time. They are both 14-year-old male chihuahua mixes. Pierre is in the black collar and Gator has the blue one. For their age, they are actually in really great health other than Pierre needing eyedrops. Their joints and teeth are good and they have great energy levels. Gator will even jump right up in your lap if you're sitting down. They do have some issues with marking, being that they were never neutered, so we suggest a belly band in the home to prevent this from happening. Personality-wise, Gator is more outgoing, but they are both very sweet boys. They love to snuggle in their bed together and nap most of the day.

Pierre and Gator have met little dogs and did not mind them. They are not a fan of big dogs, however. As a fospice home, you provide a safe and loving environment for them to live out the rest of their lives. We will provide any other costs whether it be medical, food, fostering supplies, etc.

I guess maybe all these ingredients are the reason for the high cost of $119 per 30 pound bag of puppy food? Seems to me a bit worrisome that I can’t even pronounce several of these ingredients.

Also, I googled the circled word and learned that it is an ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER😳 IN PUPPY FOOD
WHY? To encourage them to eat it, I am guessing 🤦‍♀️.

I believe that animal shelters nearly EVERYWHERE USA are bursting at the seems and simply cannot keep up with the epidemic of pet overpopulation. PLEASE HELP HOWEVER YOU CAN!
