Meet our Precious Piglet. The bottom 2 pictures are how we found her. Fleas. Sunburn. Mange. Scabs. Bald Spots. Blisters. Too skinny & not knowing when she would eat next. Just 2 weeks & look at our girl! She walks with a purpose, plays, and is filling in perfectly. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to all of our Caregivers. You all went above & beyond for Piglet. Her life has been truly changed at Ark. And it is our pleasure to let this neglected beauty eat whenever she wants, our Piglet. She is a very special baby girl, just 6 months old. She needs very special people. Come on out to Ark & check out her progress. We are so proud of her! Piglet is now ready for her forever home.

Lakeland seniors Mischa Dominguez and Karlee DeMoss organized another halftime show for the Boys Soccer game on Thursday, Sept. 4 partnered with Ark Animal Rescue and Adoption 🐾! Adoptable dogs will be highlighted at halftime, but even if you aren't able to bring home a new furry friend, you can still bring items to donate such as dog food, cat food, toys, blankets, and beds🐾 Help support one of our Lakeland Senior Projects and our local animal shelter!

Cinderella was rescued from a hoarding situation and she had not been properly cared for, her hair was in huge hurtful mattes. She is so very thankful to be with us, she stood completely still for 2 hours so we could shave her. She feels like a new woman. She was very under socialized and has made huge progress here in just one week. Cinderella gives us all the lovings now and is so excited when she sees us coming to spend time with her. She is a standard poodle around 4 years old, completely vetted, and is ready to live her best life with you. She is our Rags to Riches story, we had to call her Cinderella!❤️

A huge SHOUT OUT to Paw prints and pixels photography. for coming out week after week & spending time with the babes. She is so much more than a camera, she helps tell their stories. Here is her latest volunteer work... Dave is very grateful for the time she spent spent with him. And so are we.❤️❤️❤️

🐾 Hi, I’m Dave! 🐾

I’m a 2-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with the most unique merle coat you’ve ever seen. Life hasn’t always been kind to me—I was once dragged behind a car, which left permanent damage to one of my paw pads. Don’t worry, it doesn’t slow me down or affect my happy spirit—it just gives me a wobbly little walk. My photographer jokes that I need “doggie Crocs.” 😉

Because of my paw, I just need an adopter who will be mindful of hot pavement or tough terrain. Other than that, I’m just your typical goofy, loving dog who wants nothing more than to cuddle, play, and soak up all the love I missed out on before.

I came so close to never getting my second chance—I was on the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter. But thanks to a wonderful rescue, I was brought all the way to Indiana and now I’m safe at Ark, waiting for my forever family.

Oh—and guess what? I get along great with other dogs too! 🐶 So if you’ve already got a furry friend at home, I’d love to be their buddy.

I promise, if you give me a chance, you’ll get the most loyal, silly, and affectionate best friend you could ever ask for. ❤️
