October is National Co-op Month! 🤝 At Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, we’re proud to be part of a cooperative system that’s built by farmers, for farmers. $1,400 was donated at Tennessee Farmers Cooperative today for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research during a Fall Employee Appreciation Meal in La Vergne. The meal was sponsored by the Corporate Financial Solutions Department.

This special event was in partnership with ProTrition Feeds, in support of their campaign for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Employees wore gray and pink shirts to honor the Foundation and those who have been affected by the disease.

“We want to help raise more awareness and funds for this very important cause,” said ProTrition CEO Joe Huffine during the event. “Every ton of feed that Co-ops across the state sell in October that has a Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon printed on it, we’re going to make a monetary contribution to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for that bag sold. We want to join others in the fight against breast cancer.”
