If you or anyone you know is interested in saving animals from euthanasia by moving them to loving homes and making a difference! Kindred Hearts Transport Connection (KHTC) is a volunteer organization to look into.

Their mission at KHTC is to “improve the future of all domestic animals through relocation into rescue, foster and/or adoptive homes; to practice and promote foster and adoption programs; to build a national rescue outreach program through education, volunteers, self-support, animal advocates, rescue activities; and to use all reasonable means to carry out these objectives.”

🚨🚨🚨 URGENT! FOSTER HOME NEEDED! 🚨🚨🚨

Dougie is struggling at the shelter. He is biting his tail and scratching his face on the kennel. He is extremely anxious and bored. We are doing all the things to help him: calming chews, walks, time in the grass, but for a young (2 years), husky mix that needs exercise and stimulation, the shelter is not the best place. He is dog selective, does not like cats, and needs children to be 12 or older. If you can help us provide Dougie a foster home, go to illinoisvalleyanimalrescue.net to complete an application.

Tonight is Peru's 4th of July Fireworks. Make sure your pets are leashed, collars secure and tags updated. Don't have tags, grab a sharpie and write on their collar or wrap piece of duct tape with the info on it.
