Friends of Mountain Joe's Trail Rides,

This now famous image was taken by one of the wildland firefighters who was working the on the day the "fire tornado" tore through an area of the La Sal Mountains. These firefighters are standing in the area where we hosted our mountain trail rides. It is looking southward to Wolf Springs Ranch and if you have been with us on our 2-hour adventure ride, you may recognize the wedding hall and family cabin in the middle left of the picture.
We are heartbroken but determined to rebuild. It is our hope to find an equally beautiful and serene location--which won't be easy--to host future rides, and make future happy memories for you, our friends.

Friends,

This is very hard for us to share, but the fire tornado seen in this video swept through the once beautiful area where we took our mountain adventure rides. Due to damage to the natural setting, as well as the loss of property, we will be closed until further notice.

All horses and personnel are safe and sound!
