My name is Sean Anthony, I am a native Oregonian and have been calling Central Oregon home for over 20 years. I have spent my entire life along side German Shepherd's and have always cherished their companionship. In 2021 I decided that I wanted to take a chance and pursue a career as a dog trainer, even though I knew practically nothing about the industry at the time. I started off working as a d
og daycare attendant and kennel tech at a couple of the different local dog daycare centers and kennels. Simultaneously, I enrolled into the Karen Pryor Academy and completed their online Dog Trainer Foundations course with my current shepherd, Obi. I have also spent over a year working at a local pet store where I began learning about canine nutrition. Since then, I have continued to work for a positive reinforcement based daycare and training center in Bend where I both assist and instruct basic companionship and puppy 101 group classes. I started Caldera Canine Training in 2022 with the simple goal of helping people deepen their connections and understandings of their pet dogs. The more I learned about dog behavior and their methods of communication, the more I realized how much misunderstanding there can potentially be between us and our 4-legged friends. Helping people and their dogs bridge that gap has been a very rewarding and meaningful experience for me. At the end of 2024 I relocated from Bend to the La Pine area and have been hard at work getting ready for the next big phase for Caldera Canine Training, boarding! As of right now, I am continuing my education in ethology by pursuing a certification with CCPDT (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers) and hope to obtain my certification within the next year. I also have plans to continue my education on canine nutrition. Eventually I would like to train service and working dogs, but for now my focus is on pet dog training, continuing my education, and giving your dog a safe, enriching environment to stay at. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about me, Obi, or the cost of services that Caldera Canine Training provides. Summary of provided services: Boarding, board and train, private training appointments.
