Everyone meet Jay’s new “son”… Theodore ❤️🧡

And yes… he is a prairie dog, and yes… we are all completely obsessed already 🐾🩵💙 Between his tiny paws, curious little face, and all the personality packed into one small body, Theodore has officially stolen hearts around the clinic.

Safe to say there is never a boring day at NVC La Marque with Jay around 😅✨

Tummy troubles can happen for many reasons… diet changes, stress, parasites, infections, or simply getting into something they should not have ❤️🩵💙 When diarrhea lasts more than a day or two, it is always worth taking a closer look.

Poor little Milo Cuyuch came in after his family noticed an eye injury, and those puppy eyes definitely had us all feeling for him 🐶🧡✨

A corneal stain was performed to check for scratches or ulcers on the surface of the eye, which helps us know exactly how to treat injuries like this ❤️🩵💙 Milo went home with eye ointment, an e collar, and a plan to help that eye heal safely and comfortably.

Eye injuries can happen quickly, and pets are not always great at telling us when something hurts. Squinting, rubbing, redness, or excess tearing are all signs it is worth having them checked 💙

A**l glands can become uncomfortable when they do not empty properly, and tummy troubles can sometimes make things even worse. Signs can include scooting, licking, a foul odor, or suddenly seeming uncomfortable when sitting ❤️🩵💙

The good news is with the right treatment and a little relief, pets usually feel much better quickly 💙 Sometimes the not so fun visits are the ones that make the biggest difference in your pet’s comfort.

Big dogs like Snowball have an even bigger job… keeping watch, protecting their families, and somehow still being giant teddy bears ❤️🩵💙 Annual exams help us stay ahead of joint changes, weight trends, heart health, and all the little things that help gentle giants stay healthy for years to come.

Willie Nelson came in for his exam, tested positive for roundworms, got started on dewormer, and picked up his Simparica to stay protected moving forward 🐶🧡✨

Roundworms are one of the most common intestinal parasites we see, especially in younger pets. They can cause signs like diarrhea, vomiting, a bloated belly, poor weight gain, or sometimes no signs at all ❤️🩵💙 That is why routine f***l testing and prevention matter so much.

The good news? With the right deworming treatment and consistent parasite prevention, most pets do very well and get back to feeling their best 💙 Staying on prevention also helps protect your pet from other common parasites like fleas and certain intestinal worms.
