Whitney Ranch Safe affordable horse boarding for residents of La Honda The grounds of Whitney Ranch have been used for boarding horses since the 1950's. Charges vary.

Larry and Cathy Whitney, purchased the operation in 1994. Cathy has been involved with horses since she was a little girl, and has a lifelong love with them. We keep the number of horses small, and offer lots of amenities. Our boarding is limited to residents of the La Honda area. We believe horses should be here and make it as affordable as possible. Mcdonald park is a 15 min ride from the ranch, or 5 minute trailer drive. We are here 24/7 watching over the ranch, offering a monitored environment. Pasture is where most horses are kept, with feeding twice a day of high quality grass alfalfa mix hay,which is included in board fee. Box stalls with paddocks are also available for additional fee, but we will not allow a boarded horse to be stalled 24/7 unless ill or injured. We will do vacation boarding for non boarders in a stall only.
