We are proud to be a no-kill shelter and pull from overcrowded shelters and euthanasia lists in the hopes that every cat that longs for a warm bed and family receives one. CatNap is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to creating lifelong relationships between companion animals and their adoptive families. We will provide shelter and care to all healthy and treatable relinquished, abandone

d or transferred cats, birds and small mammals until we can bring the adopter and animal together for a lasting relationship.

We are all about celebrating milestones, and this one is definitely a special one! 🥰
Chocolate Opal came to us from another shelters euthanasia list, but she wasn’t out of the woods yet…
After arriving at CatNap, we noticed that this gorgeous tortie didn’t seem quite like herself. Bloodwork revealed that she had FIP, a condition that can quickly become deadly without treatment.
We are SO happy to announce that after 84 days of treatment, Chocolate Opal is officially in REMISSION! 🙌
Success stories like these take a village; We couldn’t have done it without a superstar patient, dedicated staff and—of course—our incredible donors who make these costly treatments possible.😻

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on some of the most overlooked cats in the shelter — our SENIORS. 🥹🐱

For a senior cat, ending up in a shelter can be especially frightening. Some have spent their entire lives in a home, only to suddenly find themselves surrounded by unfamiliar sounds, smells, people, and animals. They don’t understand why they’re here…they just know they’re waiting for someone to love them again. ❤️
