Is it pretty? No. It is not green, and it is stemmy.

Is it safe for horses? Yes, they CAN eat it, but they will likely pick through it and leave some stem behind. Could be a good choice for “busy” hay to nibble on. It is not moldy and it is clean, it was just too mature when cut & baled.

Is it safe for other livestock? Yes, but again, expect some waste to be left behind.
