🎄 Holiday Hours Update 🎄

Just a quick heads-up for the holidays!
We will be closing early at 6:00 PM on Christmas Eve (tomorrow, 12/24) so our team can get home and celebrate with their families. We will be closed all day on Christmas Day (12/25).

We’ll be back to normal hours after the holiday, refreshed, caffeinated, and ready to spoil your scaly friends again. 🦎🐍

☀️🔥 Austin is Heating Up 🔥☀️

While we may enjoy the sunshine (sometimes), reptiles can be extra sensitive to the Texas heat. If you’re transporting your pets, even short car rides can become dangerous. Always keep them shaded, never leave them in a hot car, and double-check enclosures at home to make sure heat lamps aren’t pushing temps too high.

💧 Bonus tip: Extra hydration is key! Mist enclosures and provide fresh water to help your pets stay comfortable through the heat.

🐍💡 Reptile Fun Fact Wednesday!

Did you know snakes don’t blink? Instead of eyelids, they have a clear protective scale called a spectacle that covers their eyes. It keeps dirt and dust away, and when snakes shed, they shed this scale too!

So next time you see a snake giving you that unblinking stare, remember — they aren’t being rude, they’re just built differently.

🦎✨ Creature of the Week: Crested Geckos!

If you’ve been looking for a reptile that’s beginner-friendly, easy to care for, and full of personality, look no further than the crested gecko. These little climbers come in a rainbow of colors and patterns, and their sticky toe pads let them walk on glass like it’s nothing! 🍃
