Oglala Pet Project (OPP) Oglala Pet Project is a non-profit organization serving community members and pets on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

To improve the quality of life for rez pets through education, spay/neuter, pet wellness assistance & the re-homing or networking of abandoned or unwanted pets on Pine Ridge! Only through a network of volunteers and partnering organizations, both on and off the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, can OPP help needy pets. We appreciate your on-going support of our efforts.

Our team goes from a blank slate to a full surgical clinic in the matter of a few hours. Working together building kennels, cutting blankets, creating a sterile surgery area with all of the equipment. We get meds ready, donations to give to clients and all the paperwork to go with. We had a great weekend seeing almost 200 animals in 2 days and fixing over 100 of them. We are thankful for our hosts at Thunder Valley and all of our community members who brought their animals to help live a healthier life! Cheers to a successful weekend. We truly have the best vets and volunteers to complete this every summer🥰

Arnold heard there was a family out there for him so he’s officially perked up both ears this morning to patiently wait for them to apply! Arnold is the sweetest boy who is changing his looks and his ears as he grows. He loves to play with other dogs, doesn’t bother cats and is a smart, adorable, playful furball. We can’t say enough good things about this cutie. Arnold has started his puppy series and will be neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. Can you help a pup out and SHARE his picture?

Creek…. He needs a playmate, a leader as he is a follower. He’s not as outgoing and in your face as his sister Duckie but his snuggles are still the best. It takes him a quick moment to warm up to new things but then he does good. He’s excelling in kennel training and his potty training is coming along nicely. He’s excellent with other dogs and doesn’t mind the cats. If you are looking for a chill, non dominate, follower apply today to meet Creek!

Duckie….her glamour shot!
This sweet, large breed four month old mixed female is a happy go lucky girl. She believes that everyone loves her as much as she loves them. She will run up to you and be your shadow wherever you go. Her foster mom says that she is the master manipulator as she bats her eyes and licks your face. She is doing excellent with kennel training and is doing well with potty training. She loves other dogs and loves to play in the yard. She is fine with the cats in her foster home. Duckie is an excellent snuggler as well. She has completed her puppy vaccines and has been spayed and microchipped. Applications can be requested by emailing [email protected]

Ziva…. She was found in the dump, thrown away like trash. Now she’s growing and is a happy active puppy. She’s going to stay on the smaller side but how small we don’t know. She loves other dogs and snuggling with her foster mom and is fine with cats in her foster home. Ziva has started her puppy vaccinations and deworming. She will be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. Applications for the sweet girl can be requested by emailing [email protected]
