Madge the Pug, our sweet little furry angel has crossed over the rainbow bridge this morning. She gave us all of her love & received every bit of our love back over these many, many years. It's a blessing that she is now running her zoomies free from pain & discomfort, happily whoo-whooing her pleasure at being able to see clearly, hear clearly & eat as many carrots & pig ear chews as she wants. She will forever be with us in our hearts & in our loving memories.

It's Madge the Pug's Sweet 16 Birthday today! She's still going for walks, just very slowly. She's still loving her carrots, just have to point out where they are. And she still loves to give love to all those around her, just have to get close for the pug kisses. 🥰🩷

Mom & Dad were on vacation so I got to take a fun vacation too with my favorite Vet & Boarding place at My Pet's Animal Hospital in Alcoa, TN. I really enjoy everyone there & they are so good to me. I even got straight As on my Boarding Report Card! Mom & Dad are very proud of me. ☺️

Today is my Birthday! I'm 13 years old & feeling my age more, but still have moments of high energy, mainly when asking for my food or my favorite carrots. I'm currently on a regimen of prescribed medication from the vet for itchy welts, anti inflammatory & antibiotic pills for my hind paws. They do help a lot! Walking has been a challenge this past week while trying to p*e & p**p. Mommy & Daddy are doing their best to help me along. My main favorite thing to do is nap on my comfy soft couch. *snort, snort, snoooore......

Madge Update: Yesterday Madge the Pug was still not doing very well. She was not very good on her legs & not eating very well. We took her out in a stroller around the block & then sat with her in the grass for a good long time. That seemed to perk her up. She had a pretty good night, after needing to go out to p*e in the middle of the night.
Today is a whole different story! She actually went up some stairs on her own, was walking everywhere on her own, drank some water finally & even rolled over for many playful tummy rubs!! We took her into the vet & they confirmed the ear infection was still an issue. The medication the emergency vet put in her ears after the deep clean will still be working for 30 days. We will be monitoring her for any changes. We also will be taking her back to the vet in mid May for her annual shots & get a full blood work up, per our vet's recommendation.
We are beyond happy with Madge's recovery & very relieved that she seems to be getting back to her happy self. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes & thoughts!

Please keep our sweet Madge the Pug in your thoughts for healing & recovery over the next few days. We had a scare today with her tipping over, unbalanced & no control over her body. After rushing her to the emergency vet they eventually found & treated her for a deep ear blockage & infection. We always clean her ears, but this was very deep & required IV & antibiotics. She is now slowly recovering & we take her back to our regular vet on Monday for a check up.
