Zander started his “show” career, just like several other young Friesians, by showing in hand and at his local Kuering.

At just 3 years old, he was awarded Ster Stallion and selected for the stallion approval test. He made it to the final round where a minor injury kept him from finishing. He was invited back but was the only horse eligible the next year. So Scenic View started again, becoming the first Friesian in Saddleseat training to selected for the 70 day test and for a second time. Again he finished, defeated by one point.

This was just the beginning of a successful career in Saddleseat and the show ring.
