The border collie who started it all 🥺

I wish I could go back and soak up all the “firsts” we had together. Our first sheepdog lesson together. Our first trial together. Our first placement together. Our first disc competition together. A lot of my firsts were with this dog and she truly is my one of a kind, my Indie girl.

I’ve been teaching the dogs a few tricks that’ll come in handy for photos, so far Nome’s favorite is “head down” and it gives him such puppy dog eyes, I love it!

Southern Elm’s Tess 💗

My next announcement is one that’s bitter sweet. Tess was a late bloomer on sheep but finally turned on around 9 months old. I waited her out a few months to see what she’d look like but being a sheepdog wasn’t her calling. I flip flopped for months about placing her but when the perfect opportunity came along I knew it was meant to be!

She now lives in Ohio and has started training in agility. She truly is a special dog and I think a piece of me will always hang on to the “what ifs” when I think of her but I am so happy for her and her new family. Go take on the world Tessy 🥺

New year means new additions!

Introducing BCT Ivy 🌿

This sweet girl was part of my journey out to Texas and I am smitten with her already! She loves to tug and is a very outgoing girl. She’s got a really cool pedigree with her grand sire being Llangwm Bud and great grand sire being Llangwm Cap. She’s here as a sheepdog prospect and will get introduction to sports until she’s old enough for work. I’m excited for this spicy girl!

Closing out 2025 with big hopes for 2026.

I’m hoping for a better year. A year filled with good memories and time well spent with my dogs. I hope to hit the trial field running and find my footing more as a handler / trainer.

2025 wasn’t the kindest to me. I experienced a lot of loss in my personal life and haven’t quite navigated through all the grief that came with that. 2026 will bring a lot of change, for me personally and my kennel, but I’ll embrace it and be thankful for the opportunities presented to me. Here’s to bigger and better things, even if it brings growing pains!

Somehow Maudie doesn’t have a photo on my feed! Here she is posing like an angel 💛

Second to fly the coop is Linen!

This sweet boy will be going to Kelly at . He wiggled his way into her heart and secured a himself a spot! He’ll get to do lots of fun things with his primary focus being a sheepdog prospect.

He’ll get a head start on his adventures with in Colorado. She’s going to puppy raise him for a few months then he’ll be back in Tennessee! I’m so glad this sweet boy will be staying close and gets the opportunity to do big things!

And the first puppy is off 🥹

Suede is headed to South Carolina with his new family ! He’ll get to herd sheep on their farm and do lots of sports, like dock diving, in his down time! This sweet boy landed in a wonderful home and I cannot wait to see all they accomplish together 💗

His new name isn’t quite decided yet but we’ll share when it is!
