The time has come to say goodbye to the retail portion of Smoosh. We are holding her funeral (last day!) on Saturday from 10-12pm. Grooming will remain by appointment only and unchanged.

Smoosh Pet Bakery arrived in 2021 with squeaky toys, paw balm, and big boutique dreams. What began as a few curated shelves quickly blossomed into a colorful corner of chaos—full of impulse buys, bandanas, birthday treats, and enough candles to scent a small village.

Smoosh Retail had personality. She was quirky, charming, and never short on “just one more thing” moments. She made you stop, sniff, and smile. And we adored her.

But as Smoosh grew, so did our grooming business—wildly. Our grooming room is now the heartbeat of the shop. It’s what we’re known for, and it’s where our team truly shines. The only problem? Our groomers were so busy transforming fluffballs that stepping away to ring up a squeaky toy or restock a leash started to feel like an Olympic sport.

So with a mix of fond memories and forward focus, we lay our retail shelves to rest.

We’ll miss the chaos—but grooming is our heart, and we’re going all in.❤️

Yesterday Val and Daytin spent the day learning to hand strip! I came along to do a little photography for the event. I'm so proud of these girls! Always asking to continue learning and growing. We are so happy to support them.

Grooming is often an industry where people are a bit cut throat and often comparing and putting down other businesses, however we are blessed to have found a tribe through the FABULOUS Brianna Wellendorf! She puts collaboration over competition everyday. Thanks Bri! We love you!
