🐱 Fun Facts About Cats! 🐱

Cats can make over 100 different sounds—way more than dogs!

A cat’s nose print is unique, just like a human fingerprint.

Did you know cats sleep about 70% of their lives? It’s their way of conserving energy.

Cats have a specialized grooming tool—the papillae on their tongues act like tiny combs!

Some cats “chatter” when they see birds outside—it’s thought to be an instinctive hunting behavior.

Kneading (or “making biscuits”) is a comforting behavior that reminds cats of kittenhood.

At Heartland Vet Care, we’re here to keep your feline friends happy and healthy!

🛡️ Your Pet’s Armor Against Fleas, Ticks & Heartworms 🛡️

Warm weather = more sunshine, longer walks... and unfortunately, more parasites on the prowl. 😬

🐜 Fleas: Itchy, sneaky, and masters of the hop. One turns into hundreds in no time.
🕷️ Ticks: Tiny vampires carrying big diseases like Lyme.
🪱 Heartworms: Spread by mosquitoes and they literally live in the heart. Not cute.

😺🐶 The good news? Monthly prevention = full protection.
It’s easy, safe, and WAY cheaper than treating a full-blown infestation or illness.

📆 Make it a habit:
✅ Mark your calendar
✅ Give prevention on time
✅ Protect your furry friend all year round

💬 Not sure what’s right for your pet? Call us at Heartland Vet Care—we’ll help you pick the perfect prevention plan! 💚

🐾 Meet Wendy – A Passion for Pets and People! 🧡
Wendy is one of our amazing customer care representatives and brings over 30 years of experience in veterinary care, starting her career at a small clinic in Greenfield, where she learned everything from customer care to assisting in surgery. After years in the Greenfield area, she’s happy to be working in Knightstown!
A Knightstown High School graduate, Wendy now lives in Carthage with her husband of 34 years. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Though she’s always had pets, she now loves spoiling her furry nieces and nephews after the passing of her beloved dog, Annie.
