Merciful Maiden Critter Haven tries to rescue as many animals as possible from slaughter, canned hunts, abuse and neglect. Harold was bred to be meat. Because of people these types of turkeys live about 3 years max. They are doomed unless their weight is closely monitored as they gain weight fast not allowing their legs to support their bodies.
With careful maintenance they can live longer lives.
Generally they are sweet & passive birds.
