Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a good and wonderful congress. We sure enjoyed ours. We are so proud of our riders. Congratulations to Kevin Sloas and Alexis Best for placing at the congress. We are back home and getting ready for breeding season. As most of you know we have had several great stallions in our barn. Peptoe Diavalo. Powerful Time. The Judgement. And of course Tattle on Touchdown. Lonnie and I had decided to not get another stallion since we were both at the retirement age. But you know. Some things can’t change.

Thanks to Jim Scarpa we have purchased Playgirls Intention. He is a wonderful boy and we are so so happy with him. We will be standing to a few outside mares. And a reasonable fee and mare care. So if anyone is interested in coming to see our boy please get in touch with me. Or Lonnie Or Lexie. We will be so glad to show our boy off.

And Thank You again to Jim for allowing us to make this possible πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

One week ago today, Lonnie, Alexis and I left Ohio with our beloved mare Red 57, to meet up with Kevin and Katie Sloas, to make our trip to Tulsa Oklahoma to the NSBA World Show. Kevin had been selected to compete in the Heroes on Horses class there and we were so excited and a little scared. I had never shown this show before so I wasn't sure what was to be expected.
When we arrived in Tulsa at the fair grounds, everyone was so nice and we were made to feel welcome. We hit the ground running and had a class the next day first thing, a showmanship class. Red 57 aka Rosie was a trooper, you would never know she was just a 7 year old and had never been this far away from home or at such a large and busy show before. Kevin and Rosie took a 5th place and we were so happy! Later that day we went to the practice for the HOH class and was able to meet the other 30 riders, and found out the class is part of the Veterans Memorial and appreciation night that the NSBA do every year, after the practice a dinner was given for the riders and their family.

The next night we got ready and went down to the arena for the class. The warmth and friendly atmosphere was wonderful. Alexis had worked Rosie for Kevin most of the day and she was a big help in getting her clean and making sure everything was perfect. Then when Kevin picked Alexis to be his "special" person to go into the arena with him she was so excited.
To make a long story short, Kevin Sloas and Red 57 rode to a Rev. World Championship in a Tuff Tuff Tuff class in the Heroes on Horses. Second place is not to shabby for a first timer. Congratulations Kevin I am so very proud of you. Makes me know the many hours of work that Lexie and I and Miss Rosie put in was so worth it.
