🇫🇷 Breed of the Week: Wirehaired Pointing Griffon

The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon was developed to be a true versatile hunting dog. Bred to point, track, and retrieve on both land and water, the Griffon is known for its close-working range, intelligence, and eagerness to please.

The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon also played a role in the development of the Deutsch-Drahthaar, with early Griffon blood contributing to the foundation of the breed alongside several other versatile hunting dogs.

With its harsh, weather-resistant coat and steady temperament, the Griffon is equally at home chasing upland birds, retrieving waterfowl, or tracking wounded game.
