🚨 Cattle Owner Reminder 🚨

If you’re going to own cattle, you must have a safe and reliable way to catch and restrain them. This could be:
✔️ A proper handling facility (chute, headgate, alley)
✔️ A loading setup to take them to a clinic or another facility

Cattle aren’t pets! They’re large, powerful animals, and when it comes to health checks, vaccinations, or emergencies, being able to safely handle them isn’t optional. It protects:
🐄 The cattle (less stress, proper care)
👩‍⚕️ The people working with them (vet, owner, family)
🌱 The operation (efficiency, safety, peace of mind)

👉 Bottom line: If you don’t have the facilities, make sure you have a plan to transport your animals to someone who does. Good animal care starts with good animal handling.

September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month. Providing that support begins even before we bring a pet home. Here's more on the pillars of responsible pet ownership: http://bit.ly/4mw1bVT

Bees are essential pollinators for about one-third of the crops we eat, including many fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Pollination by bees helps increase crop yields and improves the quality of produce. Protecting and supporting bee populations is vital to maintaining a healthy and diverse food supply in Texas and beyond.

Uterine prolapses occur after calving when the uterus inverts itself through the cervix and out of the cow. Vaginal prolapse most often occurs in late gestation, days to weeks before the expected calving date. An important factor to remember is that if a cow has a vaginal prolapse once, she is highly likely to prolapse again.
