🦌Just your yearly reminder 🦌
As hunting season approaches, the hounds man worries. They have prepared the entire year for that first cast of the season. They gather before the sun rises to devise their plan, What block they are going to hunt, what area they will cast from, and really to shoot the s**t for about 30 minutes. As the sun rises there’s an anxiousness that fills the hounds man ready to get the hounds out of the truck and behind a big buck.
With all fun things in life there are also risks. As the dogs are hunting the hounds man are tracking them keeping them safe and within the parameters set forth by the club. The dogs are fast and can easily go outside of the “safe areas” this is where you start to sweat. Trucks line the roads to try and stop those hounds from crossing a busy road.
I ask that when you see these trucks SLOW DOWN. There are people, dogs and sometimes kids waiting to catch those dogs. You are endangering the lives of so many when you speed down the road. Our hounds are an extension of our families and we care for them dearly. If you see a hound on the road and you stop, every dog has a tracking collar as well as a name tag. All the information listed is to make sure we can get our dogs back safely.
All I ask is for respect, respect for the hunter and respect for the hounds. Those “dogs” are our babies and we want to keep them safe.
Here’s to hunting season 2024💕🦌🐕
