Severe Heat Warning: Safeguard Your Pets!
🐾 Extreme temperatures can have devastating consequences for pets. To ensure their well-being, keep dogs and cats indoors, provide ample water, and avoid exposing them to hot pavement. A simple rule of thumb is to check if the pavement is too hot for your hand; if it is, it is also too hot for their paws. Never leave pets unattended in parked cars. Certain breeds, including brachycephalic pets (short nose pets - Persian cats, Himalayan cats, Bulldogs, Pugs, Boston terriers, Shih Tzu’, Boxers), seniors, puppies, overweight, pets with thick coats, and pets with health conditions(Heart disease, respiratory issues, or other medical problems) are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses. Stay safe and stay cool! 💧☀️
