Wayne update - After being hospitalized for just shy of a week, Wayne is back and doing very well! He is healing well and now able to go out for small and controlled walks! We will be honest though, Wayne is a high energy guy and this no exercise thing is not for him. We are doing a variety of low impact enrichment for him. So far his favorite is frozen lick bowls and Freezebones filled with Greek yogurt, kibble and broth! Wayne is set to have his pins and testicles removed soon, so long as our progress continues! In the meantime, we would love to find a medical foster for him or adopter! Healing in a home is so much different than healing in a shelter! If you have e been thinking about adopting, come meet him!

Trigger Fish and Grouper are here waiting for their forever home!!!! They are adorable little mixes, that will likely grow to about 40-50 lbs and are 3 months old. Come meet them!!

This is Rufus and he has been named after one of the Down East Bird Dawgs players in preparation for the Home runs & Furever Homes on September 5th at Historic Grainger Stadium! He is full grown at 15 lbs and is very playful! Rufus is a nickname, can you guess which player he is named after?!?! Put your guess in the comments!

Exactly a year ago today Kayleigh (formerly Oodles) was adopted, yesterday she got to adopt a little sister Uno!!
Happy gotcha-versary Kayleigh and happy gotcha day Uno!

We have lots of mama cats and kittens who need to be fed 3 times a day so we are running very low on wet cat food!
We would really appreciate some donations of wet cat and kitten food!

Grouper is all tuckered out after an evening of art, food, cake walks and lots of love! We would like to thank the Community Council for the Arts-Kinston, NC for inviting us to bring a pup out for their Dog Days of Summer gallery and highly recommend everyone going to check it out! Creativity and imagination are becoming less and less prevalent in the world and this place will definitely inspire!
