First taxidermy mount of many.
This deer marks a huge milestone for me.
🌰 The first taxidermy I can remember was a whitetail deer that hung on the wall of a small town store my mom worked at. I’d spend hours studying it and even doodling it in my coloring book. As I got older I always thought taxidermy was beautiful and always stopped to admire it. I wanted a house decorated with animals just like the big hunting stores, and so I got into hunting and I loved it.
🌱I took my first good buck to a taxidermist and asked him 100 questions 😂 he answered all of them and I asked him why he got into taxidermy, he said well I wanted 100 mounts in my house and there expensive, so I just learned to do it myself… wait a minute, I could do this, I could be a taxidermist. I was inspired, had an idea, I had a so much support from friends and family, so now where do I start. And this year I finally got my deer in a row and I began.
There was so much of this process that I loved and a lot that I didn’t like 😂. But I enjoyed all of it.
