Dear sweet peops! 🐥🐥🐥:
We so regret that there will NOT be a Happy Cart Food service this week 8/6/25 (due to key staffing absences.) BUT - have no fear… nothing will keep us from our overall mission! We will be back in service the Wednesday after this one, 8-13-25!

We apologize; we love you and thank you for understanding! We will be back in action 8-13, and can’t wait to see you! Stay tuned to this space for updates.

Soooo good! Gabby’s delicious Chickpea Un-Egg Salad Sammie’s (on “21 Whole Grain Rolls) are healthy and will blow your mind…. You won’t miss the eggs at all (or the saturated fats and cholesterol 🤪). We are about to open up and start serving here at (272 Wall Street) … Look for the Happy Cart parked outside! Eat in or take out. All freeeeeeee. To nourish community.

Dear community:
We are busy bees, food prepping away at !
Today, we are serving Chef Gabrielle Grigoli’s delicious, fresh Pasta Asparagus Salad full of fresh herbs, veggies, white beans and with a lemon Dijon dressing… and we will have a limited amount made with gluten-free pasta for the GF folks too!

We start serving at 4:30, and go til 6:30 (or until food is all gone but we are making a lot!) Tables indoors or
Commune with spirits at the picnic tables outside…

is a free vegan food and education program that will be at Old Dutch Church - 272 Wall Street, Kingston - every Wednesday! C’mon by!

The HAPPY CART free vegan food service yesterday went so great, and 51 people showed up to get helping of this weeks offering: the most delicious, roasted brussels sprouts, string beans, and onions with roasted garlic too! Served on a bed of fluffy quinoa.

It was so cool to see the people who showed up with their own Tiffins and other Tupperware, to help save resources. The metal Tiffins are being given out by and they are doing giveaways in the area, so follow them! They were the perfect companion to our food distribution!

chef Wendy ( ) is knocking it out of the ballpark each week with tasty wholesome offerings that are healthy and nutritious. We hope you’ll keep staying tuned and come visit the happy car program!

AND: if you’re going to local events & believe in collective liberation & well being, you really should be masking up & testing up before & after. Free masks, just ask. And rapid tests are $3.63/box of 2 tests. Use these tools.

Oops! Didn’t get to do social media this morning folks, but we are here out at Peoples Place serving a delicious vegan chili over rice, giving out samples of , an amazing plastic free and earth-friendly laundry detergent, and distributing lots of great vegan literature to share! Cold water too, and free mask kits from as part of their upcoming Hudson Valley mask week! 😷❤️😷❤️ cause we keep us safe and healthy! We’re here to support community! Hope to see you! We will be serving until 630 or when supplies run out.

Just a reminder dear friends and neighbors that the Happy Cart always is paused on the last Wednesday of every month to accommodate other programs that happen at 🥰

Please stay cool in this heatwave… the city of Kingston has cooling centers that we hope you can avail yourself of, if you need… we hope you and your family are safe as the high heat and humidity can be tough. We will see you next week.

Actually serving rigatoni style pasta! (Not spaghetti) with a deeeeeeelish homemade marinara sauce and vegan lentil “meatballs” … you can have a shake of NOOCH, optional (Nutritional Yeast… super yummy on everything and a nice dose of B vitamins!) Rebecca, Nancy and Miriam (pictured) and Sirena are here, serving this free dish up with a smile. Come on by! 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Hello friends!
Today for our Wednesday free vegan food service on August 14th 2024, the Happy Cart Program will be in the parking lot in front of People’s Place…
We will be serving what sounds like an absolutely delicious Vegetable Stew with Tofu, Served on a bed of Quinoa. It is also Nut free and Gluten free!

Made with love by the new chef for the Happy Cart program: Chef Wendy Grossman of WendysVegetarianKitchen.com and the amazing line of vegan gourmet cheeses!
