Two ladies are all dolled up! Beautiful
Carole and I have been friends for over 60 years !! Iām curious , anybody out there have a long time friend. ???? I often think to myself- what is a true friend. I think that it's someone who we can actually say hard to hear things to them. Like ,I think you need to cut your hair ,you look younger when it's a little shorter or I think you need to cook those beans just a little bit longer. They're still a little tough.
We don't get her feelings hurt when our friend tells us what's in their heart. We don't get our feelings hurt when they say -that outfit doesn't do a thing for you. In other words, we're honest with each other ,but what we do say -we say in love.
Carole and got married a week apart. So ,I couldn't be in her wedding because I was on my honeymoon when she got married. I was supposed to fix her hair and I didn't get to do that, because I was at the beach with my new husband. We still laugh about that today.
I've often heard that if you had two or three friends, you are blessed. I totally agree. But I think that if you just have one, really good friend, you are truly blessed. The others are just acquaintances that you wouldn't dare tell some of your private thoughts to.
So today, why don't you call that old friend of yours? The one you hadn't seen in years. talk to on the telephone as long as you like. Plan a time to get together. Somebody's gotta make the first move -let it be you.
