Benji learning how to walk nicely on a leash along with teaching him there is more than one way to do a sit position. Most people only seem to teach the dog to sit in front of them, but imagine that you are coming to an intersection and you need to stop and look both ways. Ideally you want your dog to stop and sit, so teaching the dog to sit next to your leg is another position. It isn't normal for a dog to typically want to sit next to you like this. They like to see our face and eyes, so Benji did really well here.

Meet Benji a 3y 9mth Terrier mix. Benji has guarding issues with his owner. Some issues can be the cause of insecurity and/or lack of confidence. In this video, we are working on impulse control. I am only acknowledging when the dog has all 4 feet on the ground.

This is beautiful Ruby- a 4.5 month old Golden Retriever doing our Puppy Preschool Program. She was spooked with the vacuum cleaner in the grooming office, but recovered quickly. We are trying to teach her the the place is a safe spot for her to go when she feels over whelmed.

We apologize for not having our usual Snapchat photos available recently. Unfortunately, the company phone we use for Snapchat was broken, and we are currently working on a replacement option.

Willow working on creating distance while remaining in the crate. Most exercises teach impulse control and this is one of them. Willow is doing such a great job.

Say Hi to Willow. She was rescued approximately 2 months ago. The one thing that she doesn't feel comfortable with is lying down. With this exercise, having the dog go underneath my legs may teach her to do that. Once she feels comfortable, I will then sit in a shorter chair so that she will have to work a little harder to get that treat.

I know you can't really see her, but this is Ruby. Ruby is in a Puppy Preschool Program. We purposely put the shipping paper in the middle of the floor to get Ruby to either jump over it or walk through it. Just the sound and texture can make a dog very unsure. She did great once she got comfortable.
