The Regional Animal Shelter (RAS) is a municipal facility that provides for the care and welfare of displaced animals from King William and King and Queen Counties. RAS assists citizens of our community with a wide range of services such as:

Pet adoption to suitable permanent homes
Tracking of lost and found animals
Redemption of animals to their owners
Dog licensing for King William and King and

Queen Counties

RAS ALSO PROVIDES INFORMATION ABOUT:
Spay/neuter
Proper pet care, treatment, and training
Community animal laws
Heartworm disease

We have done ONE. ONE!!! free adoption all week.

Meanwhile, the dogs are still pouring in.

Case in point: Dr. Pupper, who spent today rolling around dramatically to one of his favorite shows like he’s auditioning for the next season of his favorite new show instead of waiting for someone to adopt him. Sir. Please.

They're cute. They're tiny. They're hilarious. They have the kind of faces that should have people submitting adoption applications at irresponsible speeds.

We are officially in the thick of kitten season and could really use some help keeping our tiniest residents fed and comfortable!

Our biggest needs right now are:
🥫 Wet kitten food
🍼 Kitten Formula
🐾 Non-clumping litter

Why non-clumping? Because weaning kittens are basically furry toddlers. Non-clumping litter is much safer for these little weirdos while they’re learning how life works.

Our kennels are full. Our cat rooms are full. Our foster spaces are filling up. We are officially starting the month with more animals than places to put them.

So today, we’re asking for your help in whatever way you can give it:
