Ruby went home yesterday evening a better dog with better manners, better impulse control, and a solid foundation of obedience to build on.
Now, she’s still a Great Pyrenees, and anyone familiar with the breed knows they were bred to think independently rather than blindly follow commands. Because of that, obedience will never be picture-perfect like you might see from some working breeds, but that’s completely normal for a Pyrenees.
What early training does is give owners the tools and structure needed to guide that independence in a productive direction. Thanks to the puppy training Ruby has received, her owners are going to have a much easier and more enjoyable experience with her than most Great Pyrenees owners. She has learned that rules, boundaries, and expectations matter, and that foundation will pay dividends for years to come.
Good job, Ruby.
