Lucy the 6 month old American Hairless Terrier is here for a 30 day board and train! She needs all of the basic obedience and some potty training but most importantly, she needs to learn that doing nothing is OKAY! Especially around other people and other dogs. She’s already catching on to getting on the “place” bed and laying down. I’m excited to work with her over the next month and see all of her progress!

Cissy has been adopted! 🎉
We did a pretty extensive lesson to make sure she has the most success in her future and in her new home! The best part is they were extremely excited to work with her and do all of the training and maintain the structure. Yay for Cissy! 🥳

Tater went on an adventure to Hobby Lobby today and he did absolutely wonderful!
Tater is almost done with his 45 day board and train and has show significant improvement in his overall behavior. He is the kind of dog that gets extremely overwhelmed when given any kind or freedom or responsibility and needs to have leadership and guidance throughout his life to keep a healthy mental state. He is going home soon and I know I’ll miss his goofy ears and the way he makes me laugh every single day! Yay for Taterzzz 🥳

From fights 🤜 💥 🤛 to peace ✌️ 🤝 ✌️
As they are in the last couple weeks of their Board & Train, Bubba and Mac have learned that they don’t have to be in each other face 24/7 and can therefore live life together in peace and harmony! Remember, just because they are brothers doesn’t mean they are guaranteed to be best friends for life. But teaching certain skills with each dog individually, they can easily be able to cohabitate and be able to remain neutral in the other’s presence. They are killing it!!

It feels like forever ago that I picked up that scared little 13 week old weird gangly puppy with the constantly worried eyebrows 🤣! He’s finally filling out and looking quite handsome 😍

Charlie and Beethoven went home today! They were here for 30 days and made amazing progress within that time.
They both left with a clear understanding of commands like “place”, “sit”, “down”, heeling on leash (and some off leash for Beethoven), as well as being able to train around other dogs and be completely neutral to them. They gained a strong working relationship with their handler that will easily be transferred to the owner. They are both confident in new situations, unbothered by things they used to think they had to control, and just freakishly happy dogs! The best part - their owner is committed and ready to maintain the training! Awesome job Charlie & Beethoven!!

Charlie is here for a 30 day board and train along with her “brother” Beethoven, a Malinois mix. They have been here for about 5 days and are already showing progress!

Cissy is believed to be an Australian shepherd mix around 1-3 years of age. She’s here for a very short one week board and train but that doesn’t mean we won’t try to teach her as much as possible while she’s here!

This is Sunny, a 1 1/2 year old Blue Lacey! Him and his awesome owners are finishing up some private lessons with me. They are KILLING it!

While he is learning all the new skills like how to walk nicely on leash, stay on a “place” bed, recall, sit, down, etc, his owners are also learning how to confidently reward and correct him when necessary so they can continue to train him throughout his life.
It’s only been 3 lessons and he is already showing significant improvement in his behavior!
