Last night we got Country Deli again. I always get the GF Kaiser roll, which is amazing and tastes like real bread, but last night I decided to get something different.

Meet the Killer. I am having th other half for lunch today. Absolutely amazing! I do still prefer the roll, but this is the next best thing.

Also, their new location, which is right across the street, is awesome too! I cannot wait to walk over for lunch this summer.

Today's highlight is Shaka’s Beach Bar & Grill in Nags Head!
I highly recommend this restaurant. My first the there, the server wasn’t super familiar with celiac, but she brought out the chef and owner who walked me through the menu, including soy-free options. The last few times there has been consistent with good food and knowledgeable staff. They have a TON of different options.

My pick, and a nod to my home: PEI mussels and the mashed potatoes are to die for!

Today's recommendation...PLAZA Azteca OBX in Kill Devil Hills! Probably my #1 spot. I go so often they already know me!...

Probably my #1 spot. I go so often they already know me! Lots of corn-based options vs. flour, and the staff is great about it. My favorite: The nachos and a bonita blue margarita !
