Hi All❤️ Shea's Pet Grooming will be closing at the end of June. For many reasons, we've decided to make a permanent move to Brevard County (Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island area). I will miss you all💕🐾 It just isn't sustainable to live here any longer no matter how much we love it. We are excited, however, for the next chapter😊

Hi All!😊😊😊 Lately the doorbells (Alice & Piper) haven't been working properly. Sometimes they bark when no one is there and sometimes they don't bark when someone IS here🤦‍♂️ What can I say I'm a stylist not a trainer🤷‍♀️ Alas, pups are being replaced by a device.😆 I'm going to have an actual doorbell installed.

Hi All! Exciting stuff happening soon! We are setting up online booking so that y’all can book appointments that way if you prefer. I haven’t finished all of the categories yet, but feel free to check it out😊🐾💕 If your particular category is listed you can go ahead and book online, but please do text me when you do so that I can check that it went through on my side properly….. just until we are confident that there are no glitches. I’m hoping this will go smoothly and will prevent current and future clients from having to wait to hear back from us. Prices listed are estimations on the high end because there is so much more to pricing grooms than size and type…… coat thickness, condition, pup’s behavior etc…

Hi All! Common sense of course, but kennel cough is going around. If your dog has been coughing, please see a vet to be sure it's not kennel cough before coming in for your appointment. Kennel cough is highly contagious. For most dogs it's just a cold. My worry is the old pups and the sick ones who's immune systems may be compromised. Keep your pups with kennel cough at home and we will reschedule. Thank you everyone ❤️

Everyone meet Angelo❤️ I had a walk in nail trim client come in. As I was on the outside of the gate doing the nail trim Angelo was on the inside of the gate singing (howling). He stopped when I looked over. I asked him if he would sing with me and began howling.😆 He got excited but didn't start singing with me until my nail trim client joined in. There we were two humans and a basset hound singing our hearts out! 😊🐾💕🎶🎶

ATTN: I can't believe I even need to say this.

If your dog is injured (limping, stitches,in pain), do not being your pup for grooming.

If your pup is limping severely or obviously in pain, I will not touch it until seen and cleared for grooming by a vet. Take care of your pup's health first!

If your pup has stitches I will not do anything with it until stitches are out and cleared by a vet for grooming.

Also, don't lie and tell me a vet has cleared your pup for grooming when it has not. I will call your vet to verify if I have any doubts.

These issues have popped up recently and countless times through the years.

Happy New Year Everyone!🎉🎉🎉🎉

We are making a few changes beginning when we reopen on January 2.

01. Every year Thanksgiving through Christmas I take very few if any days off in order to accommodate everyone who wants an appointment for the holidays. This year was incredibly hard on me physically and emotionally. I've been having occasional issues with my wrists and hands for a few years now. This year, after so many dogs so many days in a row, my wrists, hands and fingers have had much more severe pain and swelling. I'm not a super fast groomer to begin with and those issues slow me down a bit more. After this week off between holidays my wrists and hands are much better.

02. Emotionally, the holidays just suck to begin with. Working with dogs is what keeps me going. I enjoy grooming dogs, making them feel clean and gorgeous, giving treats, playing and snuggling when I have a moment between grooms. Dogs make me happy 😊 that said, it takes an incredible emotional toll when pi**ed off angry owners blow up my phone (I only look at my phone to text a client while I'm working), even worse show up unannounced (if their dog sees or hears them they often become too excited to safely groom until they calm down) which further delays the process, yell at me and slam doors on their way out. Quite often owner express their "worry." I promise if your dog has been here awhile it is having a blast either playing with other pups or being cuddled in the bathers lap or just generally being spoiled rotten. If there were something wrong I would contact the owner IMMEDIATELY.

03. Due to the above, I will be much more selective with which clients remain and which clients are let go to find a groomer who better suits their needs. All I require is a reasonable amount of decency, respect, and trust.

Also due to the above, I will be contacting clients and altering the schedule to allow fewer dogs per day. This will be a win-win for me and the clients by being easier on my hands and SHOULD enable us to finish the dogs more quickly. In order to avoid raising prices again, I will be working 6 days most weeks. Fewer dogs/day but 1 extra day/week.

To all of my fantastic wonderful appreciative clients, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, understanding, and civility❤️
