Friends of the Animals The mission of our group is to help people keep their animals when an emergency arises by helping with emergency vet bills.

The group is 100% donation reliant, and as such, must limit the mission to only assist with emergency vet bills We are a group of about 10 people at the present time that have a couple of fundraisers a year to help people with their Vet Bills and we also try to donate to other animal organizations. We have been together 12 years and have helped out over 200 families to keep from putting down their animals due to not having the funds to get them the help they needed for medication, or treatment.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us on this beautiful day. Thank you to whomever put Friends of The Animals.on the 50/50 ticket, which made $125 for the animals. There was $132 in the donation bucket. Between a very generous donation, the 50/50, the donation bucket, and the raffle baskets, we made $1303 to help people around Henry County with vet bills. Donations are accepted and appreciated by mail.at PO Box 574, Kewanee, IL 61443.

There is only one hour left to shop at the annual Craft and Vendor Fair. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Don't miss the 50/50 .You can purchase lunch and treats by Janet Powers. The bar is open if you are thirsty. The new American Legion in Kewanee is at 116 E 3rd Street, just off Main Street behind CSB.
