AWS Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter & Clinic Welcome to Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter/Animal Welfare Society of Kerr County Our primary goal is the betterment in the lives of the animals of Kerr County.

The Animal Welfare Society of Kerr County is a 501(c)(3) organization and sponsor of the Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter & Clinic. We are a multi-faceted facility that strives to provide affordable vet care, low cost spay & neuter and successful adoptions of homeless and unwanted pets. We have a vision of a safe, secure and loving home for every single unwanted pet and community wide support of spay

& neuter. We hope to play an integral role in this vision by providing community outreach, education, leadership and above all access to affordable services.

🐾 Meet Timmy — proof that the best things really do come in adorable packages. 🥹

Timmy is a 4-month-old bottle-raised kitten who has traded his bottle days for playtime, exploring, and soaking up attention. ❤️

He’s grown into a gorgeous little guy with those classic tabby stripes and a face that’s pretty hard to resist. Now that he’s ready for the next chapter, Timmy is looking for a family of his very own!

We think Timmy would look pretty perfect curled up in your home.

Here’s a little Friday reminder that good things happen when we work together. ❤️🐾

Every Friday, we set aside time to visit the great folks at Kerr County Animal Control and help vaccinate their feral cats.

Ensuring every feline resident is vaccinated is just one of the many ways KCAS works to care for the dogs and cats in their care. And our team is incredibly talented when it comes to safely handling feral cats and getting the job done with as little stress as possible for them.

Today was extra special because we got to give rabies vaccinations to a couple of awesome cats who may just be lucky enough to be headed to a rescue partner soon!

We’re so grateful for partnerships like this—and for the opportunity to work together to give these animals the care they deserve.

We love our community. We love our partnerships. And most of all, we love the animals. 🐾❤️

💔 Guys… this happened yesterday, and our hearts are absolutely breaking.

This sweet soul was found as a stray yesterday, barely able to stand, emaciated beyond comprehension, covered in fleas, and basically on death’s door.

We don’t know what her name was. We don’t know her past. We don’t know what happened to her or how she ended up in this condition.

But we do know this.

She is safe now. And we are 100% committed to getting her through this and helping her find her true forever after.

We named her Candy because she couldn’t get any sweeter. 🍬❤️ Despite everything her little body has been through, she is still so incredibly sweet.

She has a very long road ahead of her, but she is no longer facing it alone. We’ve got her. 🐾

If you have ANY information about Candy or know where she may have come from, please contact Kerr County Animal Control (830)257-3100 immediately. Any information could help us piece together her story and make sure she gets the care she needs.

And if you’d like to help Candy on her road to recovery, donations toward her care are deeply appreciated. ❤️
