Without even getting into the appropriateness of kibble from a biological standpoint, we have to be vigilant about what our dogs consume. Convenience comes with a high price. I will always advocate for fresh, real food that is balanced and varied for pets!

This unbelievably cute little girl is Gigi. Her loving family wanted to set her up for success by starting puppy lessons, and Gigi is shining! She is already learning so many things proving that she is truly beauty and brains.

This crew of five has been awesome to work with! It isn’t uncommon for herding breeds, particularly GSDs and Malinois, to be hardwired to control movement. That’s exactly what Maggie was doing with her canine siblings, as well as redirecting frustration/excitement. Her wonderful family had already done a great job with the pack, and just a few changes have helped Maggie relax and understand that she doesn’t need to monitor the movements of the others. Not only is she more comfortable, but the small dogs are too!

Norb is an adorable young guy whose loving owner reached out for help with his family dynamic! Norb has a tendency to push the other dogs around a bit to get his way, but with just a few tweaks in communication is already doing an incredible job of deferring to his owner’s direction!

Did you know that many (if not most) dogs who are dictating family rules are more than happy to let that role go to their owner? When we communicate with dogs in a way that they understand, they’re free to let go and enjoy being a dog!

It doesn’t get much cuter than Moose! Moose has a wonderful family who reached out to ensure he starts off on the right paw. He is already learning leash manners, impulse control and replacement behaviors for puppy mischief. Good job, Moose and fam!

Summer is a very loving girl with her family, and very fearful of the rest of the world. Her wonderful family rescued her after she had been trapped and brought to an area shelter. Summer likely has had no interaction with people, places or others until that event. It is no wonder she struggles with safety!

Once again, a stable helper dog (Leif) helps teach and heal in a way that is impossible for a human alone. He speaks her language, sends her calming signals and invites her to play. To watch the stress lift from Summer’s body was purely magic!
