Our Policy
It is the policy of the City of Kerman to regulate and control animals in a manner consistent with current laws and City ordinances. The Kerman Animal Shelter is a temporary holding facility and does not conduct adoptions. Kerman’s animal control works to keep the public safe, protect animals, and to help pet owners be responsible neighbors. Animal control provides the following service

s:

Pick-up, impoundment, and disposal of stray animals
Cat trap rental and pick-up for stray cats
Enforcement of Animal Laws
Bite reports and rabies control
Transportation of stray injured animals
Dog Licenses may be obtained at 850 S. Madera Avenue (M-F 8:00-5:00)
Cat Trap Rental
We have humane traps available to rent, for trapping cats only. Trap rentals require an initial refundable deposit of $50.00. Stray or Abandoned Animals
Stray or abandoned animals are held for three (3) days at the Kerman Animal Shelter. If owners do not recover their pets in three days, the pet is transferred to other Rescue groups. Operating Hours
Operating hours for the Animal Shelter are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The shelter is closed on the weekend. Physical Address

🐾 FREE Dog Vaccine Clinic in Fresno – Volunteers Needed! 🐶💉
The SF SPCA is bringing their life-saving Mobile Vaccine Clinic to Roeding Park in Fresno on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM — and they need YOUR help to make it a success! 🙌
This FREE drive-thru clinic will offer distemper/parvo and rabies vaccines, microchipping, and more to help keep Fresno’s dogs healthy and safe in their loving homes.

• 📝 Check-in Helpers
• 📋 Record Keepers
• 📦 Supply Runners
