Sweet Pixie is finally ready to find her perfect home! This lovely one-year old poodle-maltese mix found her way into rescue just in time.

After her owner realized a young puppy with a painful limp was too much for her to care for, she reached out to us to see if we could take her. Pixie needed to have orthopedic surgery to remove the top of her femur which was causing her great pain and discomfort.

Fortunately, we were able to get Pixie seen by an orthopedic surgeon right away. Pixie handled the surgery and recovery like a champ, thanks to her foster parents, and is ready to begin the fun life she is meant to enjoy.

Pixie is spayed and up-to-date medically. She would love a home where she can continue to thrive in an active environment. Pixie loves to play with toys, snuggle with her humans and foster pup siblings. Pixie will go to the door to go outside and rides well in the car.

Pixie is young, enthusiastic and would love to spend her days exploring and enjoying life with her humans and dog siblings. Is that you??

Kyzer & Cali — Bonded Pair
Cali: 8-year-old female, 4.1 lbs (purple collar)
Kyzer: 7-year-old male, 11.6 lbs (blue collar)

Meet Kyzer & Cali, an adorable bonded duo looking for a loving home together! Cali is the smaller, shyer half of the pair, and she looks to her best friend Kyzer for confidence. Kyzer is the social butterfly: sweet, friendly, and quick to warm up to new people. Once Cali trusts you, she becomes a devoted little snuggler who enjoys being held and handled gently.

Both pups are still working on housetraining, but they’re eager to learn with patient adopters. They love their walks, love to cuddle, and reportedly enjoy “singing the song of their people” so a home that doesn’t mind a little vocal charm is ideal!

Kyzer and Cali could live well with cats, and may do well with respectful children ages 10+ who can help give Cali the space she needs to feel safe. They are still being evaluated with dogs.

Medical Note:
Kyzer has a grade 4 heart murmur, likely related to early mitral valve disease, a progressive condition. Adopters will receive full counseling from Berkshire Humane’s veterinary team regarding long-term management and care.
