"Calling all Heeler people! Foster needed for Oreo. Oreo is a BEAUTIFUL 3-year-old Blue Heeler who is full of love and energy. She thrives with plenty of exercise and attention, making her perfect for an active household. Oreo is great with kids! She is selective with dogs and cats. She's crate and house trained and rides wonderfully in the car. Oreo knows several commands including sit, stay, lay down, crate and bed. While she is generally good with other dogs, she has become protective of her own home when other dogs are around. However, she gets along with other dogs away from home. She has decided the cat she lives with is only tolerable outside. Oreo is sweet and loves everybody she meets and does well indoors. She is spayed and vaccinated. Once she's with a foster Hunah will arrange for her to get a microchip. Oreo lives in Hermiston, Oregon area. She needs a home that can provide her with the more activity, walks, hikes, runs... she currently weighs about 55lbs so could likely stand to lose a few. If you are looking for a loyal and loving companion, Oreo could be exactly what you're looking for. If you are interested in foster Oreo, and are an approved Hunah foster or adopter, please contact FLORA [email protected] If you are not an approved adopter, you can find an application here https://www.herduneededahome.com/"

"Our life circumstances have changed, leading us to make the difficult decision to rehome our beloved Australian cattle dog, Rolly. He is 6 years old, born November 2019, and we adopted him from a Craigslist surrender in 2022. As far as we know, we have been his third home/owners. He is 32 pounds, house and crate trained, and knows a handful of tricks. He LOVES fetch and herding balls. He is also great at agility (but we never taught him how to weave between poles). We took him to herding lessons, and he is an excellent sheep herder. He's calm and obedient and super sweet and affectionate at home. He can even open the refrigerator for you when your hands are full. He is praise and ball motivated. He respects furniture and personal belongings and always keeps the house in good order when left alone. He is fine at home, alone, all day.

Rolly is easily spooked, does not like strangers, especially men, and he does react to dogs. He needs more help getting his confidence up in these situations. The ideal home for Rolly is fully fenced, with a large outdoor area for him to play and feel safe away from noise, strangers, and unfamiliar dogs. He would do best with females and no kids. He would love to be trained as a working/herding dog, so a new home on a farm with sheep would be his dream come true. We love Rolly and want the best life for him. Thank you for considering him."

"Mango is a 14 month old mostly Cattle Dog rescue from Mexico. She is a very sweet, submissive, smart loving dog. Her issue is reactivity and it's more my fault than hers. I am older and live a very remote life on an island and she has not received proper socialization with people and other dogs. I rescued her at 7 months old and have had her in training for 7 months and she is VERY well obedience trained. She knows all the basic commands and does them willingly. However, my landlords installed a beautiful fence for me and she jumps it and digs under it and gets out into the neighborhood and barks and lunges at strangers- my neighbors- who have reported me to Animal Control. I keep her on a lead at all times at the home now and that is no way to live. I cannot go on my hikes and walks because she barks and lunges at every dog we encounter. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY FINE WITH ALL DOGS OFF LEASH. She has 2 dogs she lived with fine= my older dog died while she was with us and that made her less outgoing. She has a bite history. 2 dogs on leash- bites were not at all bad. She also bit one person that put their hand in my car. She does this because she is frightened and doesn't know what to do and I haven't properly instructed her. I am starting reactivity training with No Bad Dogs and she is doing much better but I cannot keep her in this neighborhood. My neighbors are very angry."

"We are looking to re-home our dog, Luna. We got her from a shelter in March 2024. The main issues revolve around her not getting along with our cat (even though the shelter I got her from advertised her as "cat friendly". Her prey drive is just TOO strong, and I'm always worried about the cats safety if I'm not right there to control Luna. I've spent the last several years doing EXTENSIVE training both on my own and with a trainer (thousands of $ invested), and we've made HUGE amounts of progress, fixing many issues she came from the shelter with. But the prey drive is still an issue. She'd do awesome on a farm, or a place where she's given a job and a way to release her energy and be engaged in something daily. She currently free roams our large several acre yard with a GPS collar, and that's worked very well. She does have separation anxiety and would do best with someone who's home more, or, she should be in a crate when no one's home (if not outside). I had to purchase one of those secure, high anxiety crates (impact crates), because she kept breaking out of the normal wire crates. We've had no issues since purchasing the impact crate, and she's very well trained at being in it and going in when needed (which is rarely). We are not in a huge rush at the moment to re home her, only will consider letting her go to the perfect home that can give her what she needs."

"Jimi — Blue Heeler Mix | 6 Years Old | Free to the Right Home**

Jimi is one of those dogs who makes you feel like the most important person in the room. He loves people — all of them. Babies, toddlers, grandparents, strangers who just walked in the door — Jimi greets everyone with patience and warmth. He's never met a human he didn't like.

He's house trained, leash trained (but gets too excited when other dogs pass by), and a champion snuggler (especially at bedtime). He comes alive with space to roam — a big yard or a working property would be his dream. He's got the energy of a Heeler and does best somewhere he can stretch his legs.

With other dogs, he takes a moment to warm up but quickly makes friends. He's been around chickens and generally respects them.

Jimi is being rehomed due to a housing change — this is not a reflection of who he is. He's a loving, loyal companion who deserves a home where he can thrive.

**Bonus:** New family receives 6 months of food covered.

Serious inquiries only. Located in Bend, OR."

"Rue is an active, playful, friendly, loving, and intelligent dog! I took ownership of her due to someone's living situation in January. Now here I am, with the possibility of being evicted due to my own living situation. Rue is a protector of her space and land. Very alert and very aware of her surroundings. Rue needs a yard and space to roam. She is a quick learner and is very food driven. Rue is potty trained, kennel trained, and knows very basic obedience. Due to Rue being a young cattle dog she has a high prey drive- this also causes her to obsess over our cat which has been a huge struggle. Rue LOVES people and does great at the vet. Rue also love love loves other dogs- so much that she acts a fool overcome with excitement that can easily be seen as over the top to other dogs but she just wants to play. Rue has never bit anyone, herding nips come out when she's excited but don't last long or hurt. She's good with kids/ignores them. She loves to have hard toys to chew on and to play with anyone willing, which my senior lab is usually not up for. All in all, Rue NEEDS a yard/field, a home with another playful dog, an easy going owner who is willing to train, no cats for their own benefit, an active environment, a snuggly parent, and loads of love. She's a good girl and my heart hurts that I need to give her to a better home. Thank you for reading ❤"

"We are looking to rehome due to a loss of a job and the unfortunate reality that we may be in a bigger financial bind than we anticipated.
Mace was born February 26, 2025, she is a bit over the 30lb mark and has appeared to stop growing in height and length, however we would anticipate her to "thicken" up.
She is SWEET and has been socialized the majority of her life around children(3yrs to 11yrs), cats (1 kitten and 2 seniors), other dogs and chickens.
She recalls when investigating things/people.
Spayed and vaccinated. She is crate trained.
Her not so great qualities are that she is very nervous around strange adults. She does not trust new adults easily.
If new adults come to our home we definitely crate her or place her in the "dog yard" as she will stalk them and then try to give them a nip at the back of the leg. She has never broken skin. That being said, we have done what we can to set her up for success in these situations. We let folks know beforehand to not pet until she consents and typically introduce her via a leash.
She needs a strong adult presence and does best with women and children.
When it comes to children we have had no issues or concerns. We've had the kids friend's over and have taken Mace to after school activities or to play at the playground and walk around the track.
I can supply vet records and a letter of staff's experience with her if needed."

"Meet Bluey, a purebred AKC-registered Australian Cattle Dog looking for a loving new home. We have had him since he was 6 weeks old in 2021, and he has grown up wonderfully around our boys, who were 4 and 5 when we brought him home. Bluey is about 70 lbs, larger than average for his breed, with a big heart and a bubbly, happy personality. He loves people, cuddling, giving kisses, playing fetch, going on walks, and relaxing with his family when playtime is over. He is friendly with strangers and wants to be everyone's best friend. Bluey would do best with an active owner, a family with kids, or a home with acreage where he can run, play, and get plenty of love. He likes being the center of attention and should be the only dog in the home, as he can be uneasy around other dogs. He might do well with other heelers, but we have not tested that. He does NOT do well with cats. Bluey is a loyal, affectionate companion who simply wants to be loved, included, and part of one family."
