September is kicking off with a fresh round of arrivals, and there’s a little bit of everything this week!

🦐 Freshwater Inverts are loaded back up with some awesome shrimp, including Red Fancy Tigers, Purple Galaxy Tigers, Pure Red Lines, Pure Black Lines, Bloody Marys, Green Jades, Orange Sunkists and more — plus Thai Micro Crabs!

🪸 Saltwater got a nice coral refresh with Bounce Ricordea, Purple Leptastrea, Blastomussa, Rainbow Montipora, Meteor Shower Cyphastrea, Aussie Green Tip Torch, Rainbow Goni, Neon Green Goni and plenty more.

🐟 And of course, we’ve got fresh freshwater fish arrivals in the shop as well!

⭐ Our PickFish of the Week:
On the freshwater side, Russ went with one of the coolest oddballs in the hobby — the Indian Mud Moray Eel (Gymnothorax tile). Often sold as a “freshwater” moray, this species actually requires brackish conditions for proper long-term care, so make sure you know what you’re getting into with this one!

🌊 For saltwater, Kevin picked the absolutely gorgeous — and absolutely attitude-filled — Undulated Triggerfish (Balistapus undulatus). Beautiful, intelligent, aggressive, and apparently not above throwing rocks and shells at Kevin while he cleans the tank. 😂

Freshwater, saltwater, shrimp & more — this week’s shipment is LOADED! 🐟🦐🌿

We’ve got a seriously fun mix in the shop this week, from tiny nano favorites and colorful community fish to oddballs, monster fish, shrimp, snails, and some awesome saltwater additions.

⭐ Freshwater PickFish of the Week: Red Aspidoras Catfish — small, active little bottom dwellers with warm reddish coloration and tons of personality. Keep them in a group and they’re constantly on the move!

🌊 Saltwater PickFish of the Week: Purple Firefish — peaceful, reef-safe, and absolutely gorgeous. That purple, yellow and red coloration makes these guys stand out in just about any reef tank.

And that’s only scratching the surface — Altum Angels, Roseline Sharks, Chocolate Gouramis, Scarlet Badis, Gold Ring Danios, Koi Bettas, Super Red Bushynose, Blue Ribbon Eels, Longnose Hawkfish, triggers, shrimp, snails and plenty more are here this week.

🐟 NEW THIS WEEK AT PICKFISH PETS! 🐟

This week’s shipment is STACKED! We brought in a killer mix of freshwater fish, saltwater fish, corals, and freshwater inverts — including a seriously ridiculous lineup of plecos. 👀

On the freshwater side, we’ve got everything from L600 & L114 Leopard Cactus Plecos, Scarlet Cactus, Red Fin Cactus, Spiny Monster, Sultan, Sunshine, Green Phantom and Adonis Plecos to Goyder River Rainbows, Yellow Rainbows, Bumble Bee Gobies, Croaking Gouramis, Aspidoras and more!

🦐 Freshwater invert tanks are loaded too, with Bamboo Shrimp, Amanos, Bloody Mary, Yellow Goldback, Blue Velvet, Rilis, Snowballs and more.

🌊 Saltwater got a fresh restock with new fish, inverts and corals, including Yellow Tip Red Goni, Neon Green Goni, Xenia, Valentini Puffers, Zebra Darters, Watchman Gobies, Engineer Gobies, Gladiator Clowns and more!

⭐ PickFish of the Week
Freshwater: Freshwater Dolphin Fish (Mormyrus longirostris) — a seriously unusual African oddball that uses weak electrical signals to navigate its surroundings.

Saltwater: Red Sea Desjardini Sailfin Tang (Zebrasoma desjardinii) — an absolutely stunning centerpiece tang with huge sail-like fins and incredible patterning.

🐠🌿 THIS WEEK’S NEW ARRIVALS ARE HERE! 🌿🐠

Another Tuesday means another fresh round of fish, inverts, corals, and plenty of new faces swimming around PicKFish!

On the freshwater side, we’ve got some really fun stuff this week including Koi Kohaku Guppy Pairs, Hillstream Loaches, Green Fire Tetras, XL Cardinal Tetras, several species of Polypterus, Pom Pom Knifefish Pair, and a bunch of beautiful Bettas and fancy Goldfish.

🦐 Freshwater inverts are loaded up too! XL Bamboo Shrimp, Amanos, Military Helmet Snails, Horned and Zebra Nerites, plus a full assortment of colorful Neocaridina shrimp including Yellow Goldbacks, Orange Sunkist, Green Jade, and Blue Velvet.

🌊 Saltwater & reef got some great additions this week as well, including new corals like Aussie Green Tip Torch, Firework Cloves, Rainbow Montipora, Blastomussa, Cyphastrea, Pavona and more.

Another week means another wave of freshwater fish, shrimp, and saltwater arrivals that have completed quarantine and are now ready for their forever aquariums.

🌿 This week Our PicKFish of the Week selections are picked by Anthony and Russ:

⭐ Freshwater: Atabapo Altum Angelfish (Pterophyllum altum)
🌊 Saltwater: Koran Angelfish (Pomacanthus semicirculatus)

These are two species that truly stand out. The Atabapo Altum is one of the most elegant freshwater angelfish available, prized for its incredible height, graceful fins, and commanding presence. On the saltwater side, the Koran Angelfish is famous for its remarkable transformation from a boldly patterned juvenile into a breathtaking adult—one of the most dramatic color changes in the marine hobby.

Known for their intense metallic green and turquoise coloration, dark contrasting bodies, and wild-type appearance, Green Alien Bettas combine the bold colors of selectively bred Bettas with the sleek, athletic look of their wild ancestors.

Each fish is individually unique, with natural variations in color, pattern, and metallic coverage. Males typically develop more intense coloration and longer fins, while females generally have a more compact body shape and shorter finnage while still displaying the brilliant green and blue iridescence that makes Alien Bettas so desirable.
