☀️Is summer here already?!?☀️
It’s only spring and it’s already 90 degrees 😅 If you’re hot they are hot.
Make sure your furry friends are nice and cool during this blazing heatwave ☀️
Make sure:
-they have plenty of water
-put out a kitty pool for them to splash
-take walks earlier in the morning or later at night to insure that the sidewalks are cool for their paws.
(If you can’t change that time of your walk you can use pet shoes to help with the burning cement🔥)
-puppy popsicles are also a great cooling treat. All you need is some peanut butter and bananas. Spread it on a plate and freeze it! 🩵
Stay cool😎❄️

Today, on Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men, women, and service animals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸🐾 Their courage, loyalty, and dedication will never be forgotten.
In observance of Memorial Day, we will be closed today as we take time to reflect and remember those we’ve lost.
We will return to our regular business hours on Tuesday, May 26.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

🐾💉 Happy Vet Assistant Appreciation Week! 💉🐾

This week we’re celebrating the people who somehow manage to do a little bit of everything-our vet assistants.

They help hold patients, clean up messes nobody wants to talk about, help during procedures, comfort nervous pets (and humans), restock supplies, monitor recovering patients, and somehow still keep the day moving when things get chaotic.

Being a vet assistant isn’t just playing with puppies. It’s hard work, fast-paced, emotional, physically exhausting, and incredibly important. It takes patience, compassion, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to just about anything the day throws at you.

They are the extra set of hands in appointments, the comfort during stressful moments, and the support system that helps our doctors and technicians provide the best care possible.

To our vet assistants, thank you for everything you do for our furry patients, clients, and team every single day. We truly could not do this without you. 💙🐾

🐾 WE’RE HIRING — VETERINARY ASSISTANT 🐾

Kendallville Animal Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Veterinary medicine is rewarding, fast-paced, sometimes chaotic, and never boring. While yes — there are puppies and kittens — this job is also about teamwork, learning new skills, helping pets feel better, and supporting the people who love them.💕🐈

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, willing to learn, and able to keep up in a busy clinic environment. Experience is preferred, but not required for the right person.🩵

This is a job where you’ll work hard, laugh a lot, learn constantly, and go home knowing you made a difference.

📞🐾 It’s Vet Receptionist Appreciation Week! 🐾📞

If you’ve ever called, walked in, or panicked just a little at our front desk… you’ve met the people who keep everything moving behind the scenes.

Our receptionists are the front line of it all — the first hello, the steady voice when you’re worried, the ones juggling ringing phones, full lobbies, urgent questions, and schedules that somehow never stop shifting.

They celebrate your new puppies and kittens, help guide you through tough decisions, and sometimes hold things together when emotions (completely understandably) run high. And they do it all with patience, compassion, and a sense of humor that honestly deserves its own award.

This week, we’re celebrating Reagan, Sydney, Victoria, Tina, Danna, and Emma — the people who keep Kendallville Animal Clinic running!

They are the calm in the chaos.
The voice behind the phone.
The reason things don’t completely fall apart on a Monday morning.

Next time you call or stop in, give them a little extra love — they’ve earned it. 💙

Happy Vet Receptionist Appreciation Week!
