Day One – Dixon Dog Show
What an incredible start to the Northern California Herding Group Association. Maggie (Redstarts This Ain’t My First Rodeo) earned Best of Opposite in a very competitive entry of Australian Cattle Dogs. A huge thank-you to Judge Rhonda Silveira for recognizing my girl’s potential and rewarding her hard work.

Big congratulations to Becca and Cashew for taking Best of Breed—a well-deserved win for such a fantastic team! So proud of how both our kids shined today! 🐾✨

Well we started this show in Roseburg OR out a little down on the luck but today under judge Jim Moses, at the Cascade Australian Cattle Dog Club specialty Maggie went select out of a very nice line up of cattle dogs, then turned around in the all breed under Judge Grant Townsend and managed to bring home Best of Opposite!! 💕

Once again I wouldn’t be here without all the support and advice from some very amazing people.

Show dog school is officially in session for Miss Marrow. She’s the sassy, spicy, little diva-in-training who’s convinced the judges, trainers, and probably the janitor all need her professional guidance on how things should be done. Meanwhile Maggie’s loving her role as big sis, mostly because she gets to let Miss Marrow think she’s in charge… until she isn’t.And then there’s Hank’s classic grumpy self—Miss Marrow isn’t exactly his favorite, but he’s relieved Maggie’s stopped bugging him💕

I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that God only gives us what He knows we can handle. With that being said, I’m beyond excited and incredibly thankful for the opportunity to co-own Cobalt’s Let’s Get Down To The Marrow — affectionately known as Marrow 💕 — alongside Alexis Kurowski and my niece Kailar.

This little smarty pants already has such a spark, and I can’t wait to see her shine in the show ring. I’m especially looking forward to watching her and Maggie lay the groundwork for what I hope will become an outstanding breeding program. She’ll be joining the pack in just a few weeks — for now, she’s busy attending puppy kindergarten with Lexi and learning the ropes! Here’s to new beginnings and chasing big dreams!

Proud mom moment! Maggie is currently sitting at #35 in the national breed standings and is ranked as the #7 bitch in the country! That might not seem like a big deal to everyone, but to me, it’s a huge milestone and an incredible accomplishment—especially with her being my very first show dog. Watching her grow and succeed has been such a rewarding journey. 💕

I truly couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support and encouragement from my amazing cattle dog family—thank you for being part of this ride!
