We’re so thrilled to announce we will be welcoming back our trainer Katelyn! 🤍

She will be taking over Polite Puppy starting Monday, April 28th at 6:15pm. This class will go back to our old style of a continuous class for the ages of 8 weeks to 8 months old. We are so excited for this new adventure and appreciate all of our clients being understanding as she starts her new journey back with us ✨🐾

Unfortunately, the Basic Obedience class is currently full; however, all individuals on the waitlist have been contacted, either through direct communication or voicemail. 📲

We have established a new waitlist for Shawna's next basic obedience class if you would like to be added for the next class. 📋

The polite puppy class will start on April 7th starting from week 1 again! 🐶

🚨 Extreme Cold Alert: Keep Your Pets Safe! ❄️🐾

Kearney and the surrounding areas are experiencing dangerously cold temperatures, with wind chills dropping as low as -20 to -30°F! 🥶 Frostbite can occur in just minutes, so it's crucial to take precautions for your pets.

💙 How We're Keeping our Dogs Safe:
✅ Quick potty breaks only – No extended outdoor time. Each dog being let outside is being supervised by a human.
✅ Paw protection – Using pet safe salt only
✅ Indoor enrichment – Extra playtime inside to keep them active and happy!

🐶 How You Can Protect Your Pets:
✔️ Keep them indoors as much as possible.
✔️ Dress them for warmth with pet-safe coats, boots or sweaters.
✔️ Protect their paws from ice and harmful salt.
✔️ Watch for signs of hypothermia, like shivering, lethargy, or weakness.

❄️ Cold Weather Fact: A dog’s normal body temp is 100-102.5°F. If it drops below 98°F, hypothermia can set in. Keep them warm and limit time outside!

This is a friendly reminder that daycare reservations are still required. As we transition into the new year, we want to emphasize the system implemented last year, which helps maintain a safe ratio of dogs to staff. If you would like to modify your reservation dates for the upcoming year or verify your current bookings, please feel free to reach out via email, phone, or by visiting us in person. We appreciate your cooperation!

⚠️⚠️ATTENTION DAYCARE CUSTOMERS (PLEASE READ THE POST OF ITS ENTIRETY) ⚠️⚠️

Commencing this forthcoming Monday JUNE 24TH 2024, we will introduce a reservation system for our daycare dogs (no more walk-in drop offs!)

This initiative aims to establish a cap on the number of dogs permitted in our daycare area, ensuring optimal safety and maintaining a suitable staff-to-dog ratio.

While we acknowledge that this adjustment may pose some inconvenience, we are committed to ensuring a seamless transition and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

To make a reservation, kindly contact the retreat via phone (308-455-3188).

Provide your name, your dog's name, and the specific days you wish to reserve for your dog's daycare during the upcoming week/weeks.

It is essential to follow this procedure to ensure fair access to daycare services and prevent any instances of no-shows.

YOU MAY CALL AS OF TODAY TO START MAKING RESERVATIONS ✨

In the event that no-shows persist, a no-show policy has been implemented.

Please ensure attendance at your reserved slots or notify us a day in advance to cancel to prevent any fees associated with no-shows.

This is the existing system that will be operational.

Kindly monitor our social media platforms or inquire with our staff for any updates in case modifications are made to the reservation system as we are doing our best to make this as simple as possible for everyone involved.

For the last several years, we have elected not to participate in any advertising before, during or after the Best of Kearney competition.
🐾
We decided to do this because we believe all of Kearney’s veterinarians, veterinary clinics and boarding facilities are integral in serving the pet owners of our community.

In lieu of putting our clinic’s resources into a competition that divides our profession, we have chosen to use those dollars to make a difference in what we believe in most. This year we will be making donations to Kearney Area Animal Shelter , The Good Life Rescue and Rescue Cats.
