Day 3 at the Nebraska State Horse Show:

Brooke Dunkel and TheRealSlimShady (Marshall) highlights purple ribbon and a finalist in the Senior hunter under saddle! This team received 11th place and a finalist ribbon! This team is young and in their 2nd state together.
Equitation they received a red ribbon.
Ranch Riding they received a blue ribbon!

Violet McKenzie and Macs Plenty Good (Macs) highlights purple ribbon and a finalist in the intermediate hunter under saddle. This team is in their first riding year at state horse show and Macs is 25 and still moving with such talent! In the finals, they placed 4th!
Intermediate English Equitation they received a red ribbon.

Emersyn Hughes and Yikes Justa Touch (Barbie)
Entered in the equitation and received a red. This team is brand new and I can’t wait to see them grow together!

Shout out to Arabella McKenzie, who would have been showing Quot Me a Ranger Son (Russell) who passed on June 12th, for being the best show help and keeping the positive attitude throughout the show. We can’t wait to see her next week at the Buffalo County Fair with Zips Good N Plenty (Candi).

Horner Performance Horses would like to say a huge thank you to Cindy Wolverton and all the staff in the extension offices along with the judges, with their positive critiques, all who made the show run so well and give these 4-h kids an opportunity to show!

Day 2 at the Nebraska State Horse Show:
Emersyn Hughes and Barbie competed in the horsemanship and the western pleasure. This team is brand new this year. Receiving blue in the western pleasure and receiving a white in the horsemanship and I bet the backup will not be forgotten next time.

Brooke Dunkel and Marshall competed in the ranch riding and they were looking so sharp. We had a missed lead in a very tough class and received a red.

Violet McKenzie and Mac’s competed in the western pleasure and the western horsemanship. With a missed lead in the pleasure she received a red. But they redeemed themselves in the western horsemanship and made finals and received a finalist ribbon!

Arabella McKenzie is getting to know her new riding partner, Zips Good n Plenty, barn name Candi.

Day 1 at state: Marshall and Brooke Dunkel 8th in 6-10 year old halter geldings, purple in senior showmanship.

Barbie and Emersyn Hughes 4th in aged halter mares, blue in Senior Showmanship.

Mac’s and Violet McKenzie, and Mac’s who is 25 this year, got compliments on his condition from the judge, and a blue in age halter geldings. Then they had a bit of a rough go for them and received a red in intermediate showmanship.

In memory of our gelding, Quot Me a Ranger Son (Russell), who passed away suddenly June 12th, who Arabella was planning to show this week.
