Come to Ebke Performance Horses May 3rd!

*SAVE THE DATE- May 3, 2025*

We are trying a SPRING Ebke Performance Horses Open Show this year! Concessions will be supplied by the fabulous Tails N Trails 4H Club again. We have High- Point buckles for Walk-Trot, Junior, Senior, and Adult & other great 2nd & 3rd place prizes.

We will also have a tack & clothing sale going on during the show, and classes for the whole family to enjoy! Come enjoy a fun spring day at the farm with the whole family!

We had a great day of riding after the bitter cold weather!

Meet the McKenzie family who came to Nebraska from Australia!! Trish is Mom and she is pictured on Barbie (Yikes Justa Touch), Isla is on W***y (Major Stormy Sky), Arabella is on Casper (Im in the Rich Class), and Violet is on Macs (Macs Plenty Good) They have been so much fun to ride and train with!!

Caylin McCormick, my barn assistant, who has been with me throughout many years of study at The University of Nebraska at Kearney. She has already recieved her Masters, and is planning to becoming a vet. She is pictured on Russell (Quot Me a Ranger Son).

The horses have survived the snow and negative wind chills🥶💨❄️☃️ Parker is our largest resident at 17’1 hands and Olaf is our smallest (black and white mini). Buddy to Olaf is Sven the grey and white pony.

We had our Halloween event up at the barn, the kids came in costumes and helped decorate the horses. We had quite a few very creative partners. There was a parade of costumes along with some games. We played pumpkin keyhole, bobbing for apples, pumpkin relays and had a scavenger hunt. Shout out to my barn assistants Cambrie and Caylin🎃🎃 also the Denim N Diamonds 4-h kids who helped. Admittance was to bring gloves and hats for children.

TeamBrookeandBen competed down at the 4-h state horse show this week. Ben has been such a great boy for her! They competed in ranch rail, English equitation, and hunter under saddle. Brookes favorite class with him is the ranch rail. Congratulations!!

Teamshaliandrhonda had a great week down at the state 4-h horse show. Shali and Rhonda competed in senior horsemanship with a blue, senior ranch rail with a blue, senior trail with a red and 8th place and most exciting, 6th place and a blue in a tough class of senior reining! It was such an exciting state show for this team. Congratulations!!

TeamBrookandMarshall competed in their first state 4-h show together. They competed in halter gelding under five and Junior showmanship. They had a bobble on their set up in the showmanship (things to work on) and came away with 5th place in the halter. Congratulations!!

They competed in aged gelding halter, Junior showmanship, western pleasure, western horsemanship, English equitation, and hunter under saddle. They had such growth together and ended with a blue in a tough class of hunter under saddle. Congratulations!!
