4TH OF JULY HORSE SAFETY TIPS:

- Secure fencing, gates, and doors.
- Keep horses with their friends for comfort.
- Keep them in familiar surroundings, preferably in a confined area.
- Consider relocating them if fireworks will be nearby.
- Avoid riding during fireworks.
- Use equine ear plugs or ear puffs (train them to accept these beforehand).
- Distract them with extra hay or a delayed dinner.

Our clinic in Sheridan is looking for part-time help!

We are currently looking for part-time help!

We need some extra hands on deck during breeding season to help clean stalls and pens, and if an individual is interested, possibly some veterinary technician work as well!

Individuals need to be available during the morning hours (7/8am-12pm) at least 3-4 days a week (we have some flexibility with days available), and have enough equine experience to safely enter/clean/exit pens with horses inside while maneuvering a heavy wheelbarrow and pitchfork!

We are excited to announce that Dr. Renee Jaklitsch, 𝐚 𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭, will be joining our team for the 2025 breeding season, which will allow us to offer 𝐨𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 for fresh/cooled AI as well as frozen semen breeding work, in addition to our existing stallion breeding services!

Dr. Jaklitsch received her DVM degree from Oklahoma State University in 2010, then completed her residency training at Mississippi State University in 2013. Since that time, she has worked at CSU's Equine Reproduction Lab as well as in private practice in Minnesota.
